i just got back from folsom lake..a buddie of mine got his lifted burb stuck, bad. we had my titan, another lifted titan, lifted f-150, and a lifted f-350 out there. i tired with my titan, but it didnt even move him, niether did the f-350!!! so hes stuck overnight till we get our friends winch. no vids of the titan trying but one of the f-350, another thing, his tow hooks broke when the f-350 tried. hahaha, and sorry for the bad res, its a cell phone.

im sure if he tried pullin him out straight with a chain it would pull him out. that little piece of rope aint gonna cut it.
thats what the guy in the f-350 thought, till it lasted longer than the tow hook. its stronger than a chain, believe it or not. my dad found it when he was in the forsest service, its used to carry logges (hundreds of year old red woods) out of the forest by helicopter, its the best thing i have ever used to pull people out.

I watched waiting for someone to break out the snatch-em-strap...I would NEVER use chains, a good strap will just about always work, and would have if any of those trucks had one!
Yes, I keep a 30,000lb, 30 ft strap in my truck full time.

hhhmmmm... looking at those pictures, I think it would work great if you pull it out the same way he went in... PULL FROM THE REAR??? that would've worked well, his front end is dug in and all that mud has compressed, unless you go up, then out, it aint gonna give much...

Maybe if you had gotten closer in the front. It would have lifted up on his front end more. Ground looks solid right in front.

Particularly wearing ballet slippers. What kind of worthless tires are on the burb? Or maybe they were good tires to start with, but have 50,000 miles on them? And yeah, I would get a tow strap and perhaps a shovel for the next event.
One thing to beware of in the mud is getting stuck, then doing excessive spinning, which digs down all the tires, leaving the vehicle deeply buried and perhaps also high centered.

ya we did end up pulling from the back, it didnt work at first with 2 trucks, but with the extra 2 it worked, but not by much.
