I'm honestly afraid to offroad my truck, I probably would have bought something else had I know there was this piss poor design. I guess maybe they corrected it on the 06/07's but I'm not sure, Maybe I should go gernade my front diff so I can get it replaced under warranty....Hopefully this guy got the new improved diff although I don't know if it still incorperates the same crappy design or if it is compatable with older titans...
Where is the retaining clip? I'll look for it on my '06.

The guy was really abusing it in the video. Reverse, uphill, deep sand and spinning his front wheels (he had little roosters coming out the front). My guess is that wasn't the first time he had treated it that way.

But, you have to be impressed with its performance in the first video! Wow...he cleaned their clocks, several times and then pulled the one truck out in thick sand no less!

I Agree! I don't know exactly where but my my friend Wallrat showd it to me and it's puney. Maybe I will try to find it in the service manual and post it.

I was not talking smack about your truck, I have 4x4 OR Titan as well. That was some nice driving there!

Is Nissan going to warranty that Diff for you or are they going to Void it because of the lift? Search for Wallrats post, his diff busted in Mexico as well, and ALMOST had to be towed back, but he somehow managed to get it back together. If it was me I would have been screwed and thats one expensive tow bill...And then he had to fight nissan to replace the diff...

If there was an aftermarket fix, I would not be as concerned but I don't have 3g's to go blow ona new diff everytimes it pops or if and when it does.

well i wouldn't call driving for miles in reverse up sand hills with the pedal to the floor "treating it like a truck" i would call that reckless...but hey, if you have enough money to fix whatever you screw up on your truck for driving like that then its all you my friend...

i like to have fun with my truck and i drive my truck off road through trails with heavy mud/dirt and ive got the scratches to prove it but i'm sure as hell not going to TRY to mess it up

Re: Titan vs 2 f250 diesels on sand

Gottta give it lots of gas in the sand

I still don't see why it busted, you get alot of wheel spin in sand so I would not imagine it is super hard on the diff....
