Thanks for being the guinea pig. I was wondering what would happen if I were to try that.

That is awesome!

This southeastern mud/clay we have makes it difficult for 4x4's as well. It is some thick stuff.

LOL, yeah... absolutely depends on what geographical location you live in. if i was there i'd definitely have gotten a 4wd, but here in the southwest, it is advantageous to have a 2wd. with a locker even more of a plus!

Re: 2wd offroad ftl

All you need is skills and a Detroit true trac, I have been places with 2WD more than others could dream with 4WD. I wish I could have taking pics of my sis going places that no one would believe with her 98 ford tarus. I really love my truck and it doesn't matter if she is 2WD I plan on taking her more places than she was planned on going.

Re: 2wd offroad ftl

I've seen people do some stuff in a 2wd that you wouldn't think would be possible. Here in the southeast, usually it's just mud that everybody offroads in. I have to admit though, the thought of going through the desert sounds like a blast.

Re: 2wd offroad ftl

If I had some nice tires and a tru-track it'd be a different story.

Re: 2wd offroad ftl

you don't even need tru-trac to do what i've done thru the desert! it would help but i've shut many a 4x4 moron up, when they've said, "your 2wd won't make it".

Re: 2wd offroad ftl

A locker, good tires and skill make a world of difference with a 2wd.

Re: 2wd offroad ftl

That mud looks like it was fun up until it sucked in your tires. LOL

Who/what pulled you out of the mud?
