Blacked out my tail lights

original post got lost during the website corruption so here it is again.
I'm going to powder coat the bumper next. Might black everything out eventually, not sure really.

I had a friend get in my truck and hit the brakes to test the lights. During the day it shows up kind of decent and during the night it seems to shine the same as before.

Re: Blacked out my tail lights

it will look glossier of you buff it out. At first, I did it by hand, but with poor results, I got the buffer and what a difference.

Re: Blacked out my tail lights

I kinda like the flat black look, it gives it a little contrast.

Re: Blacked out my tail lights

the haze looks very unprofessional IMO

all that's left to make it look great is to be wet sanded then buffed..

Re: Blacked out my tail lights

Thx guys.
I used VHT niteshade and the picture was taken just after it was done. They don't looks hazy at all now. They just needed to cure a lil bit. I need to get a recent picture of them. I used a lil tire shine on them until I get them buffed and they look pretty sick right now.

Powder coating the bumper soon and blacking the emblems out Saturday.
