They're axles. Ya know how the Titan has a D44 rear, that's considered 1/2 tons. 2.5 tons come out of those big military 6x6 duece and a halfs. Here are a couple of pics I have on my laptop of trucks on 2.5 tons.
I don't think he underestimated the hole, I just think that was the only hole that he could go in that wouldn't completely sink his truck. At mudfest, anything not on 2.5 tons and up is considered a joke. Many run 5 tons, and 20 tons. So of course, they make the mudhole to cater to the big dog's, so the little holes people make throughout the weekend in the campsite area are the only places for the little trucks like that Toyoa to play without getting stuck in every time they try to hit a hole.
So you're saying that was a small hole? Dang!

Correct, that is a little hole someone made in the parking area at mudfest. The real hole where all the big trucks play is probably 5 acres that they dig out and flood. Some guy got his bronco stuck in the edge of the hole on Friday night and they finally got it out with a log skidder on Tuesday morning and the mud was so nasty they broke the frame in half, and ripped all the axles off trying to get it out. None of the 2.5 ton trucks could budge him, and he was only on 35s. Last year a Ford all 4 linked on 2.5 tons got stuck and the mud sucked it in so bad that it just folded the front axle back when they pulled it out. People drive down from Canada, New Jersey and everywhere else for Mudfest, it's a pretty big thing. I wish MT hadn't changed their site, I had a whole thread full of pics and vids of trucks on 2.5 tons from our local mudholes and mudfest.
Go to Youtube and search for Okeechobee Mudfest, their are some bad vids, but some of them are pretty decent and will give you an idea of why I said that was a small hole. lol
I don't think people have seen mudding until they come to Florida. Period.
Ain't that the truth. There must be something special about our mud, this is where they film 90% of the trucks gone wild videos. I don't think anywhere else has just plain nasty, bottomless, gummy muck like we have here.
idk know about that florida has some nasty stuff, but i think texas and louisiana are both competitive with their mud. The reason not much filming goes on is because neither have a really big publilc place to do it. Most of it is private or illegally ridden.

I've seen a little bit of Louisianna, Texas, and Oklahoma mud and it was pretty nasty, but it was all kind of slick clay mud with a kinda hard bottom which is nothing like the bottomless black muck we have here. Not saying all of it's like that, just the stuff I've seen, and it was way different than our mud. And all the land down here is privately owned as well, people just choose to hold huge mudding events such as mudfest on their ranches. There are a ton of other places that hold different kinds big of team competitions as well that are on TGW so I think it's just the fact that there are way more people into the mudding scene down here than most other places.
looks photo shopped to me. notice the Titan is clean??? Getting that far into the mud the truck would have had mud sprayed all up on the sides.
LoL it's definately not photoshopped. I found it from a guy who had a whole bunch of pics of that yota cuz it was for sale. Guaranteed it isn't photoshopped.
