Black Gap Road in Big Bend National Park

Here is a video I made in April 2007 of my trek thru Big Bend National Park on Black Gap Road (going South to North). Titan handled very well considering it is just 2WD... there was only one spot (came shortly after this video clip) where it was pretty steep going up w/ loose gravel. The tires were just spinning. I backed up and got more speed and "bounced" up the hill.

This would have been a lot harder if there was mud or if you drive it North to South. But a 4x4 would have navigated this road w/ ease. I recommend trying it sometime.

Re: Black Gap Road in Big Bend National Park

yeah, i have 2 others.

one of them is from where we just turned on to black gap road. nothing to challenging there... just some bigger rocks and narrow road. Just had to drive slow.

the other is after the "gap". the video stops right before it gets good. most of this video just shows the land around the trail. at the very end, you get a glipse of the trail and you can see that it goes pretty steep. this is where the video stops. i think my wife was pretty scared b/c my wheels spun out. i had to get up speed to get up the hill... kind of scary b/c the truck was kind of bouncing around and we were on the edge of a very big hill.

i'm trying to get them up on youtube, but it takes forever to upload.

Wow, 2WD, stock tires, not even a leveling kit and I assume you don't have trutrack. You've got big brass ones.
