Finally put to good use!

Well I finally got to use this truck for what I bought it for! Here she is all loaded up with my Triumph Daytona and my buddy's Kawi ZX-10 and all the other crap we haul along with us to the track!

And a picture from today after I spent some time detailing...

Re: Finally put to good use!

Yep, it's a tight fit with all the gear that comes with us... tool box, cooler, ez-up, chairs, fuel jugs, stands, tire warmers, generator, etc, etc.

Works great! Can't even tell there's 1500+ lbs of stuff back there driving the truck.

The pictures are from Willow Springs, but we also ride at California Speedway, Buttonwillow, Pahrump, Miller Motorsports Park and hopefully this year we'll be taking a trip up to Thunderhill. Just doing track days for now, no racing but I'll be getting my race license with WSMC this year.

I've been to Buttonwillow with the trackclub a couple of times, they put on a great event! I love that track and trackclub keeps things running smoothly.

Re: Finally put to good use!

Nice. Hope you had fun on your trackday.

I recently loaded an 07 R6 in my Titan CC for the first time last week since I added the RollBak touneu cover. It was a very very tight fit and the bike barely fit on the tailgate with the bed extender down. I didn't know that extra foot would make such a big difference so now I'm thinking of betting a different cover now as I want to haul my bikes without having to man handle the bed extender to go back down.

How hard was it to position both bikes on the back like that? Did the wheel wells get in the way?

It was pretty easy to get the bikes in there. I put them as close to the sides of the bed as I could get them and there was plenty of room between them for other stuff.

It's the Nissan accessory bed extender.

Re: Finally put to good use!

I wish I had your bed, with my bike in the back I cant close the gate. I gotta stick in at an angle, not to mention the ramp, stands, jug, cooler, extra set of tires, fold up chairs, it a puzzle fitting al that stuff in my CC short bed.

You know, I was actually a bit bummed out at first. I bought the KC so that I could put bikes in the back and hopefully close the tailgate. Then when I loaded the bikes up it's seriously like 3/4" short... tailgate just BARELY won't close. It all worked out really well in the end though with the bed extender, because it gives me a lot more room for stuff like the cooler, gas jugs, stands, tool box, etc. Without the bed extender I'd have to cram all that stuff BETWEEN the bikes and then worry about the fairings getting scratched.
