Thumbs up New to the group...Pics attached

Greetings,

Just before deciding to sell my 04 Nissan Titan for the purpose of buying a Ford Harley Truck, so that I could lift it to better suit myself, I started checking out some Nissan Titan images on google search. I was searching for Titan's that have been lifted. After seeing the results of bigger tires, better wheel and higher lifts, I decided to buy out my current Titan and give it a 6-inch lift, 35 inch tires and 20 inch wheels. It all turned out well. I also put a rear-view mirror that incorporates a 4-inch, color, with sound, back-up screen. (After backing over one car, one concrete mailbox and two stop signs, I needed it)

Sorry for the long intro.... I do have one question. I just recieved a $180 ticket (radar detector didn't work due to air patrol). Turns out they clocked me at 87 and I knew my speedometer read 80 MAX. So, question is, can someone refer me to a calabration chart to compare my old stock tires to my new stock tires, so I know how much faster I am running on the new tires?

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you.

Z

PS: Hopefully the pictures I attached to this post shows below. If not, I apologize and will try post another with pics...

First off, welcome to TT...Glad you kept your titan, that thing looks sick...in a good way, like the "MOVE" on your grill... I think you should put that on the back of your truck also, since you run over just bout everything behind you . Anyways, dont know bout a conversion chart but I'm sure someone here knows

Nice looking truck.

For a quick fix until you get it calibrated, just take 5 off ur speed. If it says 55mph you going 50 mph. It's not super accurate but it's worked for me on all of my trucks haha

if he is running bigger tires it would be the opposite. if it reads 50 then he is doing 55? bigger tire larger rotation?

Re: New to the group...Pics attached

rtc is right if your going 50 on the speedo with 35's you really going something like 53-53. the faster you go the more your speedo is off. So at 70 your going 75. 80 at 87 sounds about right.

Re: New to the group...Pics attached

I agree with the GPS speed, but in the time being, here's a tire conversion calculator.Just enter your old size and now your new size and it will give you the difference.

Nice move on keeping the Titan (and your money in your wallet). It looks great with the lift.
