Why I need PRG's traction bars...

So I got this bright idea to attach my digital camera to the bottom of my Titan's bed and film some video of the leaf springs under acceleration. Madness (or perhaps brilliance...) follows.

http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n...t=AxleWrap.flv

Below is a shot of the camera's perspective. The view is of the passenger side wheel and forward is to the left. As you will no doubt see is that the axle housing will twist clock-wise and the resulting axle wrap will look like this: ~

This is a shot of the minitripod's location where the camera is secured:

and while I was down there, here's a shot of my Magnaflow exhaust after a year of Washington's weather:

If you are in the market for PRG's traction bars but the "significant other" is against the thought, hopefully this little vid can help your cause, you can explain that the axle wrap is causing metal fatigue or something (it is to an extent). There are plenty of places to mount my camera tripod underneath, look for more episodes in the future. Enjoy!!!!

Excellent quality video. Good job! Makes me glad I got my PRG Street bars; it just clarifies how much is going on under there.

Great video... Thanks for the look at axle wrap. I have a 3" block so I can't imagine how bad mine is?

What a great idea, thanks for the effort - I bet this helps a lot of guys here decide on t-bars!

It would be cool to see another video after you get your t-bars on to see the difference.

Nice job!

Re: Why I need PRG's traction bars...

Thanks for all the props guys! Unfortunately, the traction bars are low on the list, got bumped down one place after I ordered the shackles. The Trutrac is next, with the Uprev Osiris to follow, THEN the traction bars.....I'm thinking of filming where the prop shaft connects to the trannie, that's the slip yoke right?

Yep - that's the slip yoke, and that would also be an interesting video!

Tell you what, I'll be happy to shoot a video of the rear axle with t-bars, just send me that camera - I promise I'll send it back!

Well, don't mount it to your balls... just use a setup like Rusty did! I can't believe what you come up with sometimes......

That is cool, Rusty, and yeah, send that cam along for pics like that of a T-barred Titan.... I'd be interested to see that myself....
