Insurance will not go up. Vandalism is covered under your comprehensive policy. The collision part is what they use as an uxcuse to jack your rates.

The whole truck, painted, is $7000. I'm paying about $2000. There were 5 claims on my comp for this.

Just going black..... Just WAY better than factory..... Got some good news and some bad news...... Truck's almost ready for paint.... GOOD!!!

Every rub strip and plastic piece that came off has to be replaced with new... Insurance doesn't want to pay for that since stuff like the bumper covers and bedcaps weren't necessarily something that had to be removed to do the insurance repairs... In that respect, they are correct, so I'm going to have to pay for those.... Oh well... It's only money....

The problem is that the little tabs molded onto the backside of the plastic parts are VERY frail and not solid at all. They are little wide tabs with about 1/8" between them and arrowhead shapes on the outside. The fit into a hole in the body but must be squeezed in and getting them out without damaging one or the other of the tabs, is virtually impossible. I almost expected this so I'm not all that upset.. just didn't expect to lose 100% of the plastic items....
