Blackbeauty NAKED... Part II: The Continuing Saga - being discussed at Nissan Titan Forums in the Titan Pictures & Media Post section.
Took a trip to the paint shop today to visit the old girl. She's holding up pretty well under the circumstances. She's got a few blemishes and has lost all her self confidence since being stripped of all her goodies and baubles.
But fear not, BB will be back together again, good as new in a couple more weeks. Apparently, she's also getting all new bedcaps and tailgate cap. The existing ones did NOT cooperate when they were trying to take them off. Nor did the door trim moldings. I saw why when I stopped by. The hole is only about as large as one of the tabs, yet two tabs must fit in the hole. Once one is released, there's not enough room for the other one to move to the center of the hole so they can come out.
New ones are ordered. Which suits me just fine. But enough with the rhetoric.... On with the show....

Your lucky that mini-van was in front of me at the last lite before the RT78 on-ramp where we seperated ways. I could have stripped BB of her goodies for you off the lite.LMAO

It's mostly covered by insurance. The keying and miscellaneous scratches, road rash, dings and dents are covered under the comprehensive policy. I'm just covering the rest since I don't want only 3/4 of the truck to look good....
And I didn't want a standard "tape and spray" from Maaco or Earl Scheib or some fly-by-night outfit like that. I wanted a quality job by a good shop. These guys do excellent work! I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done.
Best part, it's 100% guaranteed! I asked about the trip to GA/NC/FL/TN/VA in June... about 3000 miles of traveling on fresh paint. What can I do to protect it? The response? "If anything happens to it, it's guaranteed. Just bring the truck back and we'll fix whatever happens to the paint on your trip." These guys have had my business for many years and will continue to get it!

Yeah, you can never have too good a paint guy! How many coats are they going to spray?
