Sunk my truck in a pit

Well.. I sunk half of it. It was pretty bad if I must say. I went out with a group of church friends at 2am to go mud. I was going around a bend and I knew there was a pit on the edge and I slid right into it. I thought I was going to flip at first but the mud was so thick that it held my truck in place lol.

It took a total of 9 hours and 4 different trucks getting me out.

99 Z71 on 35's - Stuck
93 1500 on 35's- stuck
07 Dodge 2500 on 37's- stuck
04 f-350 on 40's- stuck

The mud was so slimey it turned everyones tires into straight slicks.

We eventually got all the trucks unstuck and the f-350 started snatching me out. It took 20 minutes and 100 feet of rope to do the trick.

The 2nd to last picture is me standing level with my truck and the last picture is the f-350 that got me out.

All the water came out of my truck. It cleaned up nice with a little cleaning. My doors were totally waterlogged. They drained out nice too.

Re: Sunk my truck in a pit

haha yea 2am was pushing it. I was awake for a total of 34 hours. Not fun.

cleanup took about 15 minutes inside the cab, 5 minutes to the engine, and 0 minutes for the under-carriage (i just drive it around a shallow lake nearby to clean the bottom) and I still haven't cleaned the outside yet.. Havent had time

Re: Sunk my truck in a pit

been there, but didn't get stuck! Although the mudgrapplers are noisey they just kept chuggin along! I feel for ya, its a pain to get that stuff outta your carpet. I still got clay in the carpet behind my back passenger seat!
Also I was out too late at night, and it was raining!!
You won't do it again, I bet!!

Re: Sunk my truck in a pit

i'll be at it next weekend lol. there is no way i could make it out though. it was 3' of thick mud in that lil pit. My friend walked my ruts after i got out and we had throw him a rope and he had to pull his way out. Thickest crap I have seen to date

Re: Sunk my truck in a pit

Well atleast you had friends with you when you got stuck. I was by myself, and it took me 2 days to get it out. Hope it cleans up well, and doesn't stink inside.

Re: Sunk my truck in a pit

haha nice...too bad you didn't get that all on video

i have yet to get stuck..well i did once but the truck was caught up on the rear hitch so the back was suspended in the air and the front tires were totally submerged in soupy mud

but i also don't make it a habit to drive through 3' deep holes like you did so that might be why

I guess a winch would be considered unsporting?
