its a K&N filter. I think its too small. lol
its wide and short. in my opinion and wanting to be larger.

My first guess was your truck!

i din't replace with a larger cone. you can probably see it more now cuz i cut the K&N Tube about 2" to 3". trying to have a short air intake. But thats not a good idea. lol
so now you can see more of the filter. there isn't a heat shield so thats probably the other reason.
