I'm mexican myself, and I never take offense to comments like that. The way I figure, if someone is stupid enough to make a comment like that, then its not even worth my time to justify it with a response.

i dont see any racist comments.... but here we go, making a big deal out of a comment that probably wasnt intended to ruffle any feathers. I have seen the word Redneck in this forum a thousand times and no MODERTORS jumps in on that. what is the difference between that remark and "it is redneck to hang balls from under your truck." we even had a thread called redneck surfing with a white kid sitting on top of a jacked up chevy going down the road.

the word "redneck" singles out or points to a certain group of people. i live in ky and i like jacked up trucks with big tires and i have been called a redneck but i dont take any offense and im sure others dont either. but there could be a few people that thinks that it is racists.

That truck is probably fitted with one of those adjustable suspensions that could be raised to a height of anyone's liking. I like the paint job but not a big fan of all the vendor stickers.

I admit it, I am Irish. I knew some one would find out and the names would start flying. But wait, my Grandmother was half American Indian so I guess I am Irish-Indian. I forgot, my Grandmother on my Fathers side was Mexican. I guess that makes me Mexican-Indian- Irish. My Daddy was born in Louisiana so I guess I am a coon arse. My Momma was born in Texas so I guess you can add red neck to the pile.
I guess the moral to the story is if any one makes any type of a racial slur you are probably going to insult me too. I say we pick on the French, not many folks will claim that back ground.

I do not see a racial slur either. The whole point of my last post was to show that every person could claim racial bias in one way or another.
