Just so you guys know, the overhead rack is rated at 125 pounds PER bar, which means the whole system can haul 250lbs.

As close as I could measure the uprights from the flat is approximately 25".

To give you an idea how they sit on the truck in real terms, they are only 1" - 2" higher than the roof of the rear cab. If your garage is that tight I'd be really concerned about putting the truck in without the racks, let alone with them. Don't over inflate your tires!!!
