Angry Holy crap!!! Help!!!

I let my Titan which was running fine sit for 3 days and when I went to start it, it wont start. It turns over and I have a full battery. My neighbor, who is more into older engines seems to think it's not getting fuel but you can hear the fuel pump enguage when you turn the key. I have NO idea what it is.

HELP!!!

Re: Holy crap!!! Help!!!

We have no clue, either. Might as well say "My computer doesn't work."

Anything going on with lights on the dash? The "key" lamp flashing or staying on? Tried a different key like 37L1 suggested? There's a chip inside them...

What year Titan? How many miles? Do a search for "IPDM" and see if the relay swap does anything? Assuming you're beyond the 5y/60k powertrain warranty, otherwise it would be at the dealer by now.

37L1 is right....... Most SE and LE keys are micro-chipped. If the BCM doesn't recognize the signal, it acts exactly like described. Try a different key. It's possible you might need to have the BCM reflashed if it won't recognize any of them.

Re: Holy crap!!! Help!!!

learn from my mistake. take it to the dealer and see what it is for sure. i replaced the IPDM and it was the key. i'm gonna break it down real simple, Barney the purple dinosaur style for you....

you said you heard the fuel pump come on so....

1. try another key (no starty or no extra key, step 2)
2. pull a spark plug, ground it out, hit the key to see if you have spark (none = step 3)
3. pull IPDM and switch ECM relay with fog lamp relay and reinstall
4. if none of this works take it to the dealer and if you had no extra key they will probably reflash you one that being the culprit. if not then they will still tell you it's something else electrical like cam shaft sensor or crank shaft sensor.

good luck. and if you find it's the IPDM and can't find one due to national backorder, i have one i bought for ****s and gigs i guess cause i didn't follow my own little list here. but this list was made with my experience that cost me ALOT of time and money so i suggest you follow the instructions.
