Body/frame creaking noises

I got my Titan on March 4th, and now have about 720 miles on it. This past Monday at 650 miles, it started making popping and creaking noises from the passenger floor/side. Sounds like in the area of where the pillar meets the floor or nearby. It started when it was rainy and humid, and has gotten a little better since it has not been so humid the last couple days, but still doing it. Typically happens when turning sharply right, then straightening back out, at low speeds (0 to 20). More so when turning right over some irregularity, like the slight hump into my driveway. Sometimes when accelerating or braking. Definitely a flex noise.

Obviously this is not something I expect a $35,000 truck to start doing at 650 miles, and have conveyed that to my sales guy. He claimed it is unheard off, and I made an appointment then.

I took it in for service this morning (Saturday). I was able to reproduce the noise for them right in their parking lot. After service checked it, they unfortunately said they tightened everything they could, to no avail. It is still making the noise, maybe even a little worse judging from my drive home afterward. My sales guy wanted to hear it as I was leaving the dealer, so a quick 50 foot drive around a right hand turn displayed it to him as well. He said he has never heard it in another Titan.

They want the truck back for a full day this week so they can involve corporate (which is closed Saturdays) to discuss it with them, see if they have heard of it, and if so what to do to fix it.

So I am documenting everything. Today was the first attempt to fix. I got my Nissan survey in the mail today, so they will hear about it as well. Not acceptable from such an expensive vehicle. Other than this popping/creaking, it is a great truck. Awesome engine/transmission combo.

Have any of you experenced similar body/frame flex noises in your Titan? And if so, any luck getting rid of them?

Funny, my "b" pillar on the drivers side creaks and rattles. I haven't been able to find the exact spot yet, but I have an appointment to get it looked at on Thursday. My dealer said they are going to have a nissan specialist ther to look at some of my problems. The creaking mentioned along with at dash rattle, a creaking passenger seat, a stain on ther rear seat, and the radio problem.

Body Squeak

Well I bought my truck one month ago and I have noticed the body squeak on my 4 door when backing out of the driveway. However it's not quite the squeak of a young man voice going thru puberty singing in the church choir. Seriously, but it does cause concern. I cannot readily repeat it everytime such as mentioned. I now have 2600+miles and to be honest I have not heard it in a awhile.

As a first time Nissan Owner, I have many "little things" to point out to the dealer at the first oil change next week and have written comments in my multiple surveys conveying my thoughts on functionality of items. Radio reception sound, exhaust echo (real ***** whening driving over 3 hours), noisy dash above steering wheel etc. All in all an great truck and look forward to what Nissan does to try bandage the knicks.

I am also hearing some persistent creak noises but mine seem to be coming from the bed area. The noise is getting progressively louder during the day than at night.

I have experienced a popping noise coming from the passenger side underneath the rear seat. After numerous attempts to reproduce the noise for the dealer, I got lucky one day and they finally heard it. It turned out that Nissan forgot to install a bolt between my cab and the frame. My local Nissan dealer had to cut a hole in my floorboard and install the bolt. The noise went away but I now have a permanent hole in my floorboard with a rubber plug in it. At first Nissan just put a piece of duct tape over the hole but I told them that was unacceptable so they installed a rubber plug. I hope this helps out.

I had the truck about a month when I finally was able to reproduce the noise for the dealer. I love the truck but the squeaks and rattles are driving me crazy especially the one in the sunroof.

I too have the noise coming from under the rear passengers seats near the jack (Crew Cab), except mine is not a popping sound, it is more of a constant rattle. I hope they don't have to cut into her like yours...Sorry to hear about that.

Sorry, I've been away from the board awhile. The dealer kept my truck for 2 days but was able to find/fix the problem a couple weeks ago. They worked with the factory. It was a bolt in the "subframe" that was improperly torqued. They torqued it to spec and the noise is gone. They said they had to wire it up "like a Christmas tree" with a bunch of sensors under it, and they helped narrow down the location.

creak noise

Try re-torqueing the frame to body bolts.I tightend these bolts on mine and fixed a lot of strange noises.Even noises that sound like they originate from the interior.

i have the squeak from the passinger seat. Anyone find a fix for that problem? I can tell the squeak is coming from where the seat back connects to the seat right by the handle to move the seat back forward but still cannot get it to stop.
