p.s. and no my wife doesn't drive my Titan, but she's got a pretty nice TRD tacoma which i think she likes more than me, hehe
good luck, i think all the new nissans coming out will help nissan become a dominating force for the import scene. i have wished many times to sell cars but the closest nissan dealership is 1 1/2 hours away . maybe i can go sell some fords

thank you everyone for the support, i certainly will feel better when the titan gets more time under its belt and shows it's dependability. if you check out nissanusa.com and look at the future vehicles you'll see some of the improvements nissan has done on many of its models, impressive. anyhow, i never thought i'd be a salesman in the car industry but i feel very confident that with nissan's improvements the cars should pretty much sell themselves. if they couldn't or if they don't i'll probably be starving cause i hate to lie, or should i say mislead customers like 95% of most car salesman do. once again thanks to all for all the kind words of encouragement...

the new frontier looks awesome, the new xterra looks gut-wrenchingly awesome, the altima se-r is simply awesome, and the new pathfinder is definitely awesome.

I just got home from the dealership. The GM was awesome. He said he believed that I was misled and I got another Titan....picking it up tomorrow....no penalty, but the curtain air bags are only an option with the navigation/dvd package. The only ones he had were that sea greenish blue, black, and white.
The white one was the one I picked...

Crew Cab
Off Road
Big Tow
4x4
Side steps
Bug deflector
Bed extender
Navigation system
Dvd
Leather captains seats
Moon Roof
Chrome Rims
Finishing Touch

LOADED!!! He sold it to me for invoice, and I am SO excited I can't wait to pick it up!!! I hadn't made a payment on the other one yet, so that whole thing was a wash and hes going to sell it used.

When I get it tomorrow I'll take some pics and post them this weekend!
Happy Titaning again!!!!

Congratulations! And all I wanted for mine is the d#$% coin holder from my dealership, which does not require switching out a brand new truck!

I'm glad this is all worked out for you. I'm just curious, is there something in your education/experience that convinced you of the importance of the side air bags? I got them too, just on general instincts, but I was wondering if you had specific info that they are important for safety.

Actually, I have a 4 lb poodle who is baby sat by my 87 yr old neighbor. She was sitting on her left shoulder (as she has in the car with me for years), and my neighbor was hit by someone who ran a red light. My doggie was the go between that saved my neighbors life between her head and the drivers side window. Although my neighbor was life flighted to the hospital and my doggie had head trauma that lasted for months (and we weren't sure she was going to make it), all is well now.

Moral of the story is....I'm an advocate for anything that will decrease your bodily injury, and the side curtain air bags was a must for me ( I also have a neice with a head injury). People drive nuts these days, and I just think anything can happen, and more protection is better.

Thats why the side curtain air bags were such an important feature for me.

Happy Titaning!

There is a drawing of the paltry coin tray on page 2-33 of the owner's manual. It goes in the center console box. There is a thread here to the effect that if you didn't get your coin tray, you can call Nissan, get a reimbursement number, order the coin tray for sixty-something dollars (yes, I'm not kidding, they really want $60+ for that little piece of junk), and then get reimbursed.

As Shakespeare observed, it's really "Much Ado About Nothing"

I must be missing something....I don't see it. My book has console box storage trays and console box storage on that page....nothing about a coin tray. Can't find it in the index either. Hmm.

Just wondering why Nissan would want payment up front if they are willing to reimburse for it anyway. Doesn't make sense!

It doesn't mention it in the text - it is shown in the line drawing that shows the console box open. Here is the thread for the reimbursement:

How to get the change tray

Here is a photo of the vaunted coin tray:
