I got my Titan and there were a few things wrong with it....they were gonna fix them, and everything was supposed to work out.
Now, after trying to replace the inside driver pillar, they told me they have the wrong part, coz the one they ordered was one that was for side curtain air bags......which is what I wanted and thought I had. Turns out NOT!!!
So I called the salesman, and he is now trying to find out from the GM what they can do for me since I told him I thought I was buying one that had the curtain air bags (which I told him at the sale was important to me and he thought I had on this one too).
Bottom line, is now I'm waiting to see what they will do to help fix this problem.
I've had so many issues with this truck and the dealership that I'm re-considering the whole thing. Damn, I love that truck!!!!
We'll see what they do for me. If they don't fix this problem, got any suggestions on what I can do about it???
Help!!!
What did your contract say? What did your federal, whatever they call it (Mulrooney?), sticker with mileage for vehicle and vehicle options say? Did they list the "Driver & Passenger Front Seat Side-Impact Air Bags" and "Roof-Mounted Front & Rear Curtain Air Bags"?
If they did and you don't have them as listed on this sticker and/or contract it is a serious problem for the dealer and makes your case a virtual slam dunk, if any such thing as a slam dunk exists with lawyers involved.
I hope it doesn't become a case of "buyer beware." The dealer should look after you.
Best wishes, hope it turns out well for you. Something like this should not be associated with such a fine vehicle. It really spoils the whole experience, if you ask me.

I just got home from the dealership. The GM was awesome. He said he believed that I was misled and I got another Titan....picking it up tomorrow....no penalty, but the curtain air bags are only an option with the navigation/dvd package. The only ones he had were that sea greenish blue, black, and white.
The white one was the one I picked...
Crew Cab
Off Road
Big Tow
4x4
Side steps
Bug deflector
Bed extender
Navigation system
Dvd
Leather captains seats
Moon Roof
Chrome Rims
Finishing Touch
LOADED!!! He sold it to me for invoice, and I am SO excited I can't wait to pick it up!!! I hadn't made a payment on the other one yet, so that whole thing was a wash and hes going to sell it used.
When I get it tomorrow I'll take some pics and post them this weekend!
Happy Titaning again!!!!
I'm really happy for you!!!
It's nice to hear that there are some great dealers out there taking care of there customers!! And you got one with all the candy! Nice move!! Enjoy your truck!!!

Now THAT's the way dealers bring in and bring BACK customers. You might want to give the dealer a plug on the forum. Maybe some other GMs will take the hint.

I believe that the side curtain air bag package is available as a stand-alone option (might require BT package). You don't have to have the nav package to get the air bags, but to get the nav package you have to order the air bags. I hope that sentence makes sense! Your dealer probably didn't have any trucks with the airbags and no nav package. Congrats on your new loaded truck!
Most excellent! Was this Mossy or? Just curious. Also, since I missed your intro. It's nice to have another 'lady' on the board so static101 and my wife Belle's Titan don't feel so outnumbered
Whicever dealer it was that took care of you...kudos to them and they sound worthy of a plug for the San Diego locals.

OK, I didn't know we were allowed to name names here.....yes, it was Mossy in Oceanside.
They took REALLY good care of me....so much so, that I also got brand new Pathfinder Platinum Edition in Silver, of course.
They really did me solid, so they have my business forever more....go see Jeff the salesman, and Sean the GM. Great guys!!!
I took picks of the truck tonight, but they didn't come out that great....I have to take more tomorrow, then I'll post them
go TITANS!!!
oh, and by the way....I'm going to be getting a license plate frame that says "Silly Men, trucks are for Women!!"
I know them pretty well from thier annual All-Nissan show. If you go to my 'homepage' on cardomain.com, you will see that my wife has taken over the stickering up of the truck. She is a Beauty and the Beast fan so the truck has a dsny plate, a Belle sticker on the back window with 'Silly boys, trucks are for girls' and a 'Daddy bought it... Momma got it!'. The funny part being is I drive it whenever we are together which has been 8k miles of its 9k at least....LOL
Hey Chris,
Very cool website.....awesome truck and pics....thats what I need to do. Take her out bathed and fully dressed and get some stand alone pics. Great views of everything.....most of all I LOVE the way your wife personalized it. Makes me want to do mine even more, but its only been one day!!!
Happy Titaning!
