Power Window Problem

My passenger side front window has gone beserk. When I roll it up with either control, the window goes up half and as it get close to half way up it slows down. Then it stops and goes down about 1-2" and stays there.

Going to the dealership tomorrow AM. Just glad theres no forcast of rain.

Anyone else have this problem?

Not the same as your's, but my windows both driver and pass. when I hit the one touch down, they will not go all the way down! They do go passed the ruber seal, but when I hit the up butten to raise the windows the windows go down even further then they were! And then they are stuck inside of the doors!
It's VERY strange! I've never had a truck that had windows or switchs working like this! I did have to repalce the driver's side window motor and regulator. But this seems to be the way the windows work. At least I don't have them getting permently stuck or locked up inside of the doors any more. But they do seem to be working very strange though!

No window problems here, but beginning to wonder if some of our trucks have the HAL2000 computer system running them! The first couple of weeks I had my truck the keys in ignition chime would sound WITHOUT keys in the ignition, it has now stopped. Go figure!

Well, went to the dealer this morning to get the window fixed. I showed up there without an appointment. The service writer was very nice and took my truck back for repairs. It happens that the passenger side window had jumped off track and was binding. Not sure why it did that but I am glad it didn't break. I asked the service writer if thay could go ahead and change my oil for me and they did. They also did not charge me for the oil change.

In all I spent 1h45m at the dealer.

Very Pleased with the Service Department.

Tri-Cities Nissan, Johnson City , Tenn.

Well the problem has returned. Took it back to the dealer and they have ordered all new replacement parts for the inside of the door. Also whil I was getting the dealer supplied rental, they told me another Titan crew cab owner had the same problem. Oh well, just have to wait and see.

Gus, the tint caused the problem my a$$! My passenger window did the same thing today...it was rolled all the way down and when I tried to roll it back up, it slowed just below halfway and then jammed. I drove home, and looked at it and sure enough it jumped the track. (You need to get your money back!!!)

I couldn't wait to bring it into the dealership because I'd have to leave the window down overnight or cover it with plastic and duct tape so I proceeded to remove the door panel; peeled back the plastic liner and saw that the weather stripping was not secured into the bottom channel. It's supposed to stay in to keep the window lined up.

The window was not aligned so I pushed the channel back and pulled the glass back into it. Placed the weather stripping back into the channel -- it stays but I think I'm going to tell the dealer to put an adhesive behind it to keep it there for good (or at least until it needs replacement down the line.)

I'll post a picture it soon.

I LOVE this truck, but our fellow Americans working the assembly line need to take pride in their workmanship.

Here's a pic of how that weather stripping should sit...

Gus, I agree with NorCal here. That is outrageous! Perhaps you should copy part of this thread to show indeed an issue exists here & your tint is not to blame. How in the world can they with a straight face tell you this? Don’t treat this as a lost cause, you are entitled to a refund.

Good luck, but this just burns me up that a dealership treated you this way.

I've had problems with my windows not responding 100% of the time, in other words, sometimes when the up or down switch is toggled, nothing happens. Also, the driver's side door lock sticks down when pressed. Nissan has ordered a replacement part for this, but it hasn't come in yet.

Well, add me to the list of passenger window problems. This morning I attempted to put the windows back up, pulled both buttons to the auto-up position and the drivers side went up but not the passenger. I checked the window lock button (funny story there, I had just bought my Roadster and the passenger window would not go up. I was pissed, went to my dealer's service dept. just as they were closing and dragged a tech. out. First thing he did was check the lock-window button, it was on. Needless to say I felt really stupid.) and it was not set. I tried the window button on the passenger window, no luck. So I turned off the truck, set the alarm and went in to get my coffee for the day. Came back out 5 minutes later, started the truck and tried the window. It went up.

I have been able to duplicate. It appears once down and when trying to go back up there is a clunk. But if I turn off the truck and re-start it I can get it to go back up. So it sort of sounds like it's off the track. But the last thing I want to do is take it to the dealer and let them open up my door. I just don't trust anybody. I've got the service manual and I plan to check on this myself this weekend. Did anybody here with these problems open up your door panel yourself? Was it hard? Easy? Any tips?

Thanks

Different window problem from yours but never the less a window problem. When you lower the windows using the key both front windows go down as they should. When you go to close them with the key only the passenger window will go up. The dealer will replace the passenger side window motor. They will also replace the front rotors and pads as well as replacing the horn (sounds like a dieing cow when it sounds)!

That is such a load and there's no excuse for windows jumping off tracks unless you took one to the side or rolled the Titan. My (almost) 35 year old Corvette has perfect power windows, and the motors and regulators are all original.

I'm fast approaching "had it" status with Nissan dealers. Ours, luckily, hasn't tried charging us anything. Their "thing" is to always write "NORMAL OPERATION" or "NO PROBLEM FOUND" for pretty much any problem that might take more than 5 minutes to repair or diagnose.

It's getting old really fast.

On a side note, it makes "four or more presentations for repair" (Lemon Law) really easy.
