Angry Truck=No Start

Got off work after 12hours,,Turned the key in the ignition and Nothing Happens!!.Took a deep breath tried again-no go!..Checked the Volt gauge and it's reading a little past 1/2 when I turned the key to start,,Lights, radio, and everything else is fine, all i heard was a click from the passenger side dash?nothing from the engine compartment. Called the stealership and they had a TowTruck there in about 30min..Gotta be an electrical problem, the battery has major juice.I tried jiggleing wires under the dash under the hood thinking it might be a loose connection..nothing..Well we loaded My Beautiful WhiteXE4X4KC on the rollback towTruck (the driver was clean and professional). While it's there Im gonna have them tweak the front end,,(pulling to the right)..I'm not stressing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you order your truck or did you buy it from the dealer's lot inventory?

Sorry to hear that Shleprock, sounds like you are the 1st in need of a tow? I hope this is a singular event, will you be sure to post the findings for us?

No, the heavy duty stuff is under the hood attached to the battery.

Since it you bought it off the dealer inventory, try checking underneath the steering column for a plug. It will be a connection similar to when you plug a card into your computer (such as a Ram card). If you see that you have this, that could be the reason it isn't starting.

I haven't heard of dealers doing this in a while, but they used to install a starter kill system on all lot vehicles that required a chip key. It was apparently a common practice to simple break the chip key off in the plug rather than uninstalling. If this jiggled loose at all, the vehicle wouldn't start, even though all the other electrical seemed to function.

I know that this is a longshot, but if it happens to be the case, it would be very hard to diagnose unless you know about it. Goodluck!

That's great! I'm going to check if I have one. What did they do to fix your problem w/your truck pulling to the right?
