Steering Wheel leather. etc..

Took delivery of a CC4x4 LE about 2 weeks ago and have noticed some of the same issues that other members are experiencing. My short list includes RF stereo, noise in the A/C. I am starting to wonder if my brake pedal has an unusual amount of "play" in it. During the week that I bought the Titan, I also got a MDX. When I drive that vehicle, I find myself using too much pressure on the brake pedal. To me, that means, I am probably using too much force on the Titan which is my vehicle. I will have the dealership look into that during my 3rd return visit on Friday. In addition to those problems, has anyone experienced a problem with their leather wrapped steering wheel. When I jumped in this morning, I noticed that there was a bubble (air space) that is approx. 3 inches long and 1 1/2 wide. It is on the right hand side of the wheel adjacent to the cruise control buttons. Seems like it is probably an isolated instance and I am sure Nissan will fix it. Aside from some other ticky tacky stuff, rusted utilitrack torx screws, and rail stops, clicking noise in the drivers door when you open and close it, the truck has been awesome. I am also using the tool box and the rack system and apparently there is a mouting bracket that can be used so that the premium bed space is conserved. According to the folks at TitanParts247.com the part will not be available for a month or two. This is the first Nissan that I have owned and it seems to me that they really did their homework on the design and functionality of the vehicle, however it seems like they rushed the production schedule. I realize this was probably a result of Ford bringing to market the redesigned F-150 and they wanted to make sure they had the Titan available. I have always been a Asian Car buyer (Honda's & Toyota) and I don't ever remember taking a car back to the dealer for repairs so soon after delivery. Having said all of this, The Titan is by far the best truck on the market for my needs. I realize that if I went with either a Dodge, Chevy or Ford, I would most likely be on a first name basis with the Service Manager. However, my expectations are also higher in that, I expect the build quality of the Nissan to be above and beyond the competitors. If anyone has had similar issues, (especially with the steering wheel) I would be interested in hearing about it.

Only issue I have is the Radio issue most people have. Just waiting for a fix before I even tell my dealer. I do notice when I drive my wife's CR-V I hit the brakes to hard at first. I don't see that as a problem, though for two reasons. The first is the same thing would happen going from my frontier to our sentra. the other reason is simple 5380#s!! Has to take more brake effort! I know I don't push the peddle in too much so mine is okay.

The only small issue I have, which I also have with my CR-V and a couple of other vehicles (not all though) is I find that 3 of the door locks are adjusted quite right. When you open the door handle you get a small bang and not a smooth unlock (open?). On the drivers door it is silky smooth but the other three aren't. I might get the dealer to adjust them (or maybe not) when I go in for the radio fix and oil change. Like I said, this is really picky and many vehicles have the same problem.

With the ignition off, pump the brake pedal real hard a bunch of times, try to push it all the way to the floor. Somebody else posted about that, I tried it, and it took alot of the softness out of the brake pedal.
