Another Rattle Fix...

My SE CC 4x4 has/had only one rattling problem, it was always, always coming from under the rear seat on the passenger side and was driving me crazy. So last night I checked everything and nothing was loose, so I yanked the jack and the tool bag out of the jack holder, put it on the floorboard and placed them under the seat. I drove 70 miles on I-4 this morning which about 75% of it is under construction and I did not here a single rattle. So if anybody else has this same rattle, try taking the jack out of the holder. I am not sure if it the jack or the tools rattling, so I am going to replace the jack and leave the tools out to see what that does...

If you jack is rattling it may not be fully seated in the bracket. To return the jack I compressed it and set it in the bracket, but then I turned the drive bolt and began to "extend" the jack so it would press against the bracket in a secure matter.

A fully compressed jack will move around a little and require an increase in radio problem to fix

Thanks for the info, but the jack was in there pretty tight. I just put it back in the bracket without the tool bag. I will see if it rattles tomorrow on my way to work.
