You're not alone! Dealer also accepted my first offer. I'm just too nice sometimes. Still, I paid "invoice" for the XE/CC, and threw in $500 because I felt the sales guy was being straight up with me and treated me in a professoinal manner. Besides, my wife is in real estate and he's looking for a house. A little give and take here and there, and just might get back that $500 and THEN some if he buys a house!

The truck is still a loooong ways out (August delivery) so we'll see how they do on followup and final negotiations. (I'm hoping there will be some dealer incentives or cash back/low APR deals when it's time to sign the contract.)

Dealer: Reed Nissan, Orlando, FL
Salesman: Peter Koolen
Experience: Horrible

Found truck I wanted on Internet, emailed them, and agreed to pay what they wanted for it. Drove four hours to pick it up on 04/09/2004. After they had the money they were through with me. I still don't have tags as they sent them to wrong address and refuse to answer calls, faxes, and emails.

I have successfully reversed some charges I paid by credit card and had my $2700 extended warranty refunded. Only way I could take money back out of their pocket. Not a single helpful person in the whole dealership. Jennifer, Nissan Executive Offices, has been helpful in getting me money back. 310-771-3801, Fax 310-771-3343.

Report these bums as Nissan wants to build their image.

Southern States Nissan, Apex, North Carolina
Salesman - Andre

Experience - Good...

First of all, do not pay more than 300 over invoice for this truck. This is Nissan's first year with the truck, they have plenty of them on the lots, and they need to get people out driving them to make more sales. We paid invoice +250 dollars. Opted for the 1000 cash back, and got 4.25% financing with gap insurance. We also paid no "doc" fees, the hidden charge dealers try and charge you to recover the invoice price. Sales guys were miffed that we wouldn't pay the doc fee, "We have to keep the lights on etc... Pay no attention to my Lexus etc..." Overall, decent sales experience, aside from ticking them off about the doc fee. No real pressure sales tactics, the real pressure is on them. Tell them exactly what options you want on the truck, and then tell them a no BS price you are willing to pay. Out in 2 hours.

Has anyone purchased a Titan from a dealership in or around Atlanta? I'm new to this site and I am considering the Titan or the Toyota double cab.

Ordered my 4x4 Galaxy CC back on April 4th, took delivery June 21st. It was a long wait, but it was worth it. I made the deal back in March when the Titans were selling for more, so my $900 over invoice was a deal at the time. I could have tried to renegotiate, but I don't do business like that. Make a deal, keep a deal. The guys were great to work with and the shop is first rate. Before I took delivery, they hand-torqued the brake lugs to make sure they weren't overtightened.

Jerry's Nissan
Weatherford, TX
Salesman & Sales Manager: David & Hutch
Experience: Excellent

David was the most knowledgeable salesman I talked to, and I visited at least 4 dealerships. He showed me the utmost respect and put zero pressure on me to buy. He didn't have to, because the sales manager, Hutch, quoted me a price of $1000 under invoice with no dealer addons and free window tint right off the bat. Who would say "no" to that? My first new car buying experience, and it couldn't have been any smoother. My parents were so impressed with the dealership that they are going back to Jerry's Nissan (its an hour drive for them) to buy a Maxima at the end of the year.

John Elway Nissan North
Denve, CO
Salesman: Nathan Vogel (internet sales)
Experience: Great

Started putting in price requests over the internet a couple of weeks ago. Got a price off of carsdirect.com and based my requests off of that. Contacted Nate via the internet, spoke on the phone a couple of times. First price he quoted me was lower than anyone else's ($250) over invoice without haggling. They are a no-haggle dealership, but everyone knows you can haggle if really want to and they want your buissness. I was prepared to do so, but didn't feel the need as it was a fair price. They had actually sold the one that I had been originally looking at last Fri. night and I went in on Sat. morning. There was one off the truck, still wrapped, just downgraded a little...no RF, no utility track. Being as these weren't deal breaker items, I was interested in the truck. He kept his 250 over invoice, I put a deposit, went and signe the paperwork last night an drove home. PAINLESS!! He was great to work with, really easygoing. The managers were...well, whatever. Not bad, just got the car salesman vibe from them. Told them I wanted them to check the tourque on the lugs and the diff fluid and they started in with the grief..."take my word for it", "we don't normally do these things", "if there is a problem, just bring it in", blahblah. But Nathan was great to work with. No Pressure.

Dealer: Hummel's Nissan, Des Moines, IA
Salesperson: Chad
Sales experience: Excellent

I've always had good experiences dealing with Hummel's (I've helped a couple of girlfriends buy Maximas there). They're the best dealership I've ever worked with and I've bought a lot of different vehicles from a lot of different dealers.

Heh. Bought mine there too, but had a great experience. I emailed them and delt directly with the internet sales division. John Meredith was my salesperson. We emailed back and forth all day before I even went in there. I practically had a deal worked out before I stepped foot in the door. I will ALWAYS go through the inet from here on out. Its nice being able to walk in there and swim right past all the sharks.

He has even offered me a free tank of gas if I give him a perfect review on the survey. I was going to anyway but I'll take a bribe if its a damn tank of gas.
