I feel so lucky that not only do I have a great dealership but I got the same tech again and he is the man! First they gave me some other guys "new" brakes cuz his car was waiting for other parts and they didnt want me to wait. I had only brought it in once before so I didnt have to go the 3 times route. I had a laundry list of stuff and this was a different service writer then the last time and he wa just as nice. He was patient as hell as I ran down a list of stuff. The biggest complaint was the snapping sound I get in my steering column. When I tried to reproduce it for the tech on te road test NOT A PEEP! He says he'll tack apart the column anyways just to be sure. Can you beleive I didnt get a "unable to reproduce"? I get a call the next day and the tech says he wasnt sure what caused the sound but just to be sure he did find a loose bolt and he insulated the column. Just to be sure he said come back if it aint fixed. Now thats service! Oh yeah, and a free car wash. If Nissan dosnt send me a survey I'm writing a letter to make sure Connell Nissan in Oakland, Ca. gets there props!

Comments: Had to actually bring in the service memo from nissan corporate on the 4th time to get my "brake judder" fixed the right way. Tried to give the run around every time. Will never get anything not under warranty serviced here.

Tom Peac0ck Nissan - Houston, TX
Service Advisor - Tina ?
Service Exp. - Not satisfied at all

Took two months to get issue resolved, never called me. I always have to call to see if parts came in. Today it finally got fixed but they f**ked up my dash (4 scratches about 1 in. long around the instrument panel. They were checking my dimmer swith. Didn't notice till I got home, call them back left my name and number but no call so far.

Also try to ripped me off on my Bird Dog (referal money) at first acted like they don't know anything about it than make excuses like check don't get cut on premise and sh!ts like that.

Dealer/location: Connell Nissan/Costa Mesa, CA
Service Advisor: Mark Nutter
Service Experience: Less than Satisfactory

I bought my truck used 3 weeks ago, it has been in for service 3 times since purchase. Main reasons were for the brake upgrade, stereo upgrade and misc little cosmetic problems that previous owner didn't care about. My problem with the service is for every problem that is attempted to be fixed, they cause another problem!!!!! Stereo was replaced, they screwed up the trim around the stereo, door molding was replaced, they screwed up the window switch, window wouldn't roll up sometimes, fuel sending unit replaced, they screwed up something with the emissions, check engine light came on, some dash trim was replaced, they screwed up the rest of the trim around the broken piece!!!!! Has anyone else experienced these kind of problems???? I'd say it's more of an issue with the technician than the dealer, but it's still annoying, I have to bring it back for a fourth time in four weeks to hopefully get this all completely resolved!!!! Ridiculous if you ask me. I love the truck though, tons of power, great ride and decent gas mileage for a truck (average 15 mpg mostly city driving!!!!)

Anyone have any better dealer experiences in the Orange County CA area???

I had the opposite experience with them.In fact Mark Nutter helped me. The only thing I didn't like was that someone played w/ my aftermarket dvd switches I installed. I can tell because they were switched on and have nothing to do with the console.

now power nissan irvine is where I had problems w service but their parts dept guys are great!

Don't get me started with their parts department!!!!!!! I ordered a front spoiler off an Armada and was told it would be in on a Tuesday. I went in on Friday to drop my truck off for service and figured I'd pick up the spoiler then. Dropped off my truck, went to parts and asked for my prepaid spoiler.... They had no record of an order!!!!!! They said they could order it again if I prepaid AGAIN!!!! Well I already prepaid for the previous one that was supposed to be there, so I told them to forget it and I better not see a charge to my credit card!!!! I have yet to get my statement to see if they charged me for my unordered part.

I haven't received very good service from Mark, just to give you some background, I work for a company that deals with Connell Chevrolet for all of our many warranty issues, tons of chevrolet vehicles from lifeguard trucks to police Tahoes that obviously need plenty of service, so we have a good relationship with Connell Chevy. Anyways, our service advisor from Chevy recommended Mark, so I figured he would be plenty helpful to my legitimate needs for warranty service... Not the case, he was very difficult on a few questionable items, like the stereo problem, I had to get the service manager involved who said he had the same problem with his Armada and after 10 seconds of explaining my problem just said "order a new stereo" very simple, only after arguing with Mark for at least 15 minutes!!!! Then simply asked a question regarding replacing the diff cover under warranty, he said they have seen no problems to warrant replacement, I asked then why is there a bulletin on synthetic fluid being the standard now and the 05's having the new improved aluminum finned covers for better cooling??? Simple questions, he got upset and just told me that he wasn't going to argue with me and that they wouldn't cover the new cover, but of course he'll sell me one through parts!!!! Now why would I want a new one if there are no problems!!!!! Anyway, the other dealers I spoke with were very polite and simply stated Nissan wouldn't cover replacement unless my truck had a specific problem, very simple and polite in my opinion. This wasn't the only time he lost his cool with me, that is why I'm upset, besides the fact that the tech can't fix a problem without causing another one!!! I'll try Power for parts or Tustin Nissan next time.

Also try to ripped me off on my Bird Dog (referal money) at first acted like they don't know anything about it than make excuses like check don't get cut on premise and sh!ts like that.

Follow up to this, I went in to get my headlight replace due to water. Went and ask for my referal money, now they couldn't find it and finally say they misplace the paper work. Told them I didn't give a sh!ts about the money it's the principle. I'm steaming already when I went to get my truck, the headlight was put on crooked big gap all around, Told the service advisor it's not exeptable and to get it right. He started giving me BS like that's how it's supposed to be, and these are not adjustable. The bolt are in the right locations. I told him to go look at any Titan or Armada on the lot, and if it was his truck would he accept it? Now he told me my truck must have been in an accident and we should go over to the bodyshop. I say it's never been in an accident but sure as hell look like it with this kind of workmanship. That set me off and next thing you know they had to calm me down in the showroom. The GM came out and we walk to the service area, he got the Service manager and we all looked at the lights. They had three guys trying to get it right. All they had to do was adjust the darn thing in the right position before tighten up the thing. It's was finally on there right. The next day there was a follow up call to see about my experience at the service department, told the caller " well if I ain't got nothing good to say I'm not going to say nothing at all".

Good Service in Apex, NC

I recommend the Southern States Nissan in Apex, NC.

1. All their service consultants made immediate contacts with me to update me on repairs.
2. Clearly communicated the timeline for completing the work.
3. Got me in ASAP.
4. No excuses.

This is exactly opposite the experiences I had at two other Dealerships:
Central Carolina Nissan in Sanford, NC (where I bought my Pathfinder and Titan)
Southern States Nissan in Raleigh (where I took my trucks in for warranty work previously)

"Down service technicians" (One week to make an appointment, kept it extra days because they were busy, called up next morning to say nothing wrong with the truck.)
"Cannot duplicate problem" (Yet when we drove it together, guess what? We did duplicate the problems!) But they couldn't get me back in to fix the problem for another week

Southern States of Raleigh does have one plus-their collision center staff who work for Nissan but are their own shop are also excellent in both workmanship, timeliness, and customer service. Too bad, they are the kind of folks I DON'T want to see again if you know what I mean.

PM me if you want more examples of how lousy both Central Carolina and Southern States of Raleigh are.

Dealer: Superior Nissan, Newark, CA
Service writer: unknown and uncaring
Service experience: very poor

The truck had minor paint issues at delivery, small bumps on the front edge of the hood and windshield pillars and a little scatch on the edge of a door.

Trip 1: no service performed because dealership had just changed hands and they didn't have any buffing equipment. Also they must not have a phone to call and say they can't do the work.

Trip 2: Buffed out some scratches from 4 wheeling. Thank you. Did not address the original issue.

Trip 3: Nice wash job. Finished removing tape from debadging. Also removed paint from door rub strip below. Applied a bunch of tire dressing to tires. Fenders and wheels black from excess. There's a TSB regarding paint damage from this. Also stained white lettering on my new tires. I paid extra for white letters, now they look like I don't bother to wash them. Thanks Superior.

Trip 4: Sales manager is now involved, since the paint problems were noted at delivery. Loaner vehicle is a Ford Explorer that I think they have to show prospective buyers how much better a Nissan is. Wouldn't let me have the No Fear Titan. Oh well. Throttle stuck open twice on the Explorer, until we pulled the plastic carpet protector away from the pedal. Nice.

Trip 5: After working on the Titan a week, the rub strip that they had wrecked was repaired. When we dropped the truck off on trip 4, it had just come back from a 400 mile trip and the front was covered with bugs. The bugs were still there, as well as the bumps and the scratch on the door. The dealer kept the Titan another week and finally got our initial, minor paint problems resolved. While they had it the last 2 weeks, I asked them to repair the squeaking driver seat. They say that they lubricated it, but it still squeaks.

The dealer said they would fill up the truck with gas and give us a bottle of touch up paint, for our trouble. They managed the fuel, but 2 weeks later there's still no sign of the paint. As an added bonus, a couple of days after I got the truck back, the sun was low and shining in the windshield. A misty haze showed that couldn't be wiped off. It seems that they got clearcoat overspray on the windshield. I won't take it back and have them strip the tailgate and then paint a fender blue, or whatever incompetence they might need to perform.

These people should get an E for effort, removing scratches and tape that they weren't responsible for, but 5 30 mile trips, over spray, paint stripped down to primer and not addressing the problem that the truck was there for get them and F for fuggedabout taking your vehicle there.

Dealership: Courtesy Nissan
Location: Altoona, PA (Central PA)
Best Service Person to Contact: Brian (has NY/NJ accent)
Service rating: Very Good

Dealership works hard from front to back (sales to service) to satisfy. I bought 5 vehicles in last 5 years from this group. The atmosphere is somewhat "meat market" type but good deals are to be had.
Service department works hard to correct ANYTHING customer says wrong with vehicle. They will order replacement parts without a hassle to fix problems. Loaner cars never a problem.
Service person goes over every compaint and how it was addressed with customer upon pick up of serviced vehicle. Please be sure to look at vehicle when service is performed to be SURE they did what they said they would do. The only compaint I have is my '05 LE CC rear compartment door was closing too tightly and the rear lip was exposed to road debris(and chipping). Service said it was realigned and it was never touched.

Dan W. was Sales Manager and great to work with...he moved to Coutesy Ford. Jim is his repacement Sales Manager and GREAT to work with on pricing!
