When my carrier bearing destroyed itself a month ago 35 miles west of Kalispell, Montana, I was towed to Simpson Motors, in Kalispell. Arrived about 1100. The part was in Sacramento. Justin (Service Consultant) got the part delivered by noon the next day and they were finished about 1530 and I was on my way. As I was 1200 miles from home, I was very pleased with the service.

Dealer/location: Lia Nissan, Enfield CT

Service Advisor: Not sure off the top of my head

Service Experience - Excellent. Had a small warranty repair done and they changed the oil for free. Had the upgraded brakes installed and they rotated the tires for free. Everything they did was thoroughly explained to me and all my questions were answered to my satisfaction.

Thumbs up Re: Service Department Experiences

I love my dealership. They dont try to get out of doing warranty work. I went in for regulkar service today and was just mentioning how for the most part I really liked my Titan except for a few rattles. He told me I should have brought it in. I said I just as well fixed it myself instead of hassling them with minor stuff. The service writers response was that I was entitled to that being done by them as thats why they are there, And making sure I'm happy as a customer was part of making sure they took care of things like that.

So if you're in Oakland CA.
Connell Nissan.

Service Experience - HORRIBLE CRAPPY EXPERIENCE BOTH TIMES I WENT. i would never buy another car from them again.
Sorry to hear about that, f00dstamps.

I called O'neill Nissan on 80th & Metcalf this morning to get my brake judder fixed. Can't remember the service guys name (I'll have it when I post my review). Anyways, he said to bring it in tomorrow morning and they will replace the front AND back rotors and pads. And it will be ready for pickup that evening. Wow! The jury is still out but it sounds promising. To be continued.....

Re: Service Department Experiences

Dealer/location: McKinney Nissan, McKinney Nissan
Service Advisor: Sean B.
Service Experience - Better than Excellent

The OLD
Previously, all my warranty work was done by Courtesy Nissan. I will not be going back. After my survey, they probably don't want me back either. Courtesy simply refused to do any TSBs. Does "not reproduceable" sound familiar?

The New
I set up an appt. with Sean at McKinney Nissan for 7:30am. I showed up with my printed list. We discussed each item and he took my key. He asked me to wait in the lobby and help myself to coffee and bagels while I wait on the rental car person. Yes rental car! I Signed the rental car papers and left. I called back at 3:30pm to tell him my mobil # and he said my truck was ready. I picked it up. They washed it; tire prep on the tires; cleaned the inside. They fixed everything they had parts for on my list and ordered parts for the others. I hope everyone has the same experience I did. I will be going back to McKinney for all my service!!!

Re: Service Department Experiences

Mike Creque Nissan
Franklin, TN.
Several different service advisors
Mixed review for me, brakes got permanent fix on third repair at 24,000 mi.
Had a rattle around the front of the hood somewhere, they couldn't find it first time, second time they said they adjusted the hood latch, good for one day no rattle, third time the serv. advisor said the tech found rocks between the gas tank and the shield around it. I said thats odd I hear the rattle in the front, not the back. I went in to get my paperwork, when I came out he had the hood up working on the hood latch. He got it right that time, hasn't rattled since.
I've got the window rattle drivers side if the window is down. They had to order a regulator for the power window. Took it in this past Monday they replaced the part. I got a call from Tammy one of the service advisors saying it was ready. I picked my truck up late after work, service was closed, rolled down window, you got it still rattles. I guess I will print the TSB for front window rattle and take it with me next time.
It will be interesting when the Nissan Headquarters moves here. They will be about a mile from this dealer, maybe they will have a little more preassure to fix things right the first time.

Angry Mossey Nissan Oceanside is the worst

Dealer / Location: Mossey Nissan / Oceanside, California
Service Manager: Bob
Experience: BAD BAD BAD. Here's the situation:

My truck was making a clicking noise when I was starting off, I took it in sometime in October, The found one thing and fixed it (something was coming loose and falling off, no surprise with this truck). The truck still made the clicking noise so I took it back. They couldn’t hear it, and i was in school so i didn’t have the time. Finally i get sick of the noise and took it in. I take it to them with specific instructions that it only make the noise after it has been sitting for a while and only between 1st and second gear. I also tell them that it only does it once and after they start it if they don’t hear it they need to let it sit again. I get a call, which i was expecting, telling me that they cannot hear it and there is no noise. Keep in mind this is the 3rd time i have brought the truck in. I ask what they have done and information about how they have listened to the noise, they tell me that they have basically done everything except listen to my instructions. At this point I’m getting frustrated with them because it seems that all dealers do is tell you there is nothing wrong when there clearly is. My frustrations are starting to get the best of me and i demand that they actually look at my truck and listen for the noise. Bob, the condescending service person tells me there is nothing to be done but give my truck back to me. At this point I’m extremely agitated, i go to the next service supervisor person and tell her (Robbin) that I want to take a ride with the mechanic, after some convincing i finally get a ride with a mechanic. However she tells me that he'll bring the truck to me.... ok, have we not listened to anything i have said. I told them that the truck only does it once and then it won’t do it. So if the mechanic brings it around it will make the noise and then we won’t hear it on the ride along. We run out to the truck as the mechanic is backing it up and stop him. Finally while I’m in the car he hears the noise.... How freaking hard is it to hear a VERY loud clicking noise??? The mechanic finally heard it and i get a rental. Now, after they tell me that it is the ABS turning on after 10mph and every truck does it (though no one that i have talked to has heard it) so what ever... nothings going to blow up and I’ll deal with it later. I get a letter in the mail the other day that says because i was loud in front of the service person Bob they have identified me as a problem and will refuse service to me. wow... I finally get them to do their job and i get a letter like that... Mossey Nissan can go to hell... I’m taking my business else where.

Re: Service Department Experiences

Dealership: Coggin Nissan, Jacksonville Fl.
Service Rep: Unknown
Quality: Service has been O.K. , but theyy don't make appointments. Is this a Nissan thing? I had to wait more than four hours for the oil change and tire rotation.

Dealership: Carlock Nissan, Jackson TN.
Service Rep: Unknown
Quality: Not Good.

Carlock took care of the brake TSP. While it was there I asked about replacing a map light in the overhead console. I had it set to come on when the door was open and consequently burned it out. They said there was no bulb replacement, but they would order the Full Overhead Assy. This was almost $300, however they covered it. The problem was they took off the original and left the truck fro me to pick it up with no overhead console assy. This looked awefull, I couldn't believe they did this. They made up for that mistake by noticing the front differential was leaking and replacing the seal. Still undecided.
