Service Department Experiences

All,

As we still have some people researching the purchase and also the aftercare of thier truck. I would like to start a thread here to sticky for a while to help in thier search.

Basically, what I would like is the following in your reply:

Dealer/location: Gosch Nissan, Hemet CA
Service Advisor: Kevin (First names only please - If common like 'John' Last initial is fine).
Service Experience - Excellent (Good, Fair, Poor)

I believe this will help some of those that have not yet bought. Please limit it to the SERVICE of the vehicle. See the General Discussion area for the SALES post. If anyone wants specific or more info on a specific post in this thread please PM or e-mail that person directly. Thanks!

Chris

Dealer/location: Don Davis Nissan, Arlington TX
Service Advisor: 7 different people for the same issue
Service Experience: Poor

Comments:
I'll respect this thread's requirements and won't drone on. However, I will say this problem is in respect to the 'radio fade' issue which it seems now to be a design flaw and not fixable (as of yet) by the dealerships.

Service Experience - Very Poor.

Waited 2 hours for a simple oil change that had a scheduled appointment. Washed the truck and scratched it.

Dealer/Location: Courtesy Nissan
Service Advisor: Shawn T
Service Experience: Great

Brought in truck for scheduled oil change showed them what I thought was a rust spot ( Rust already ) Changed the oil and also removed the rail dust without any complaints or hesitation.

Had problem with grinding noise going into 4H from 2wd, Called for appointment; was told couldn't be seen for two days. Finally, brought truck in for check and all they did was have a mechanic drive it around. Why did I need to wait two days for that? Didn't even get a car wash.

Thank you for the warning about Sam Dell. When I drive to Syracuse later this year to visit my mother, I will be sure NOT to stop in there for any service.

By the way, where in CNY do you live? My mother is on the east side of Syracuse off E. Genesee St. near the DeWitt line.

McKinney Nissan (McKinney, TX)

Service advisor: Neil

Experience: Poor..... Overcharged for a quoted service price!!
Overcharged for parts(which are supposedly still on order)!?

To think that this is a brand new dealership trying to build a reputation, these people have no concept.
I'm getting ready to write to Nissan about this to see if they could look into it.
