Here's some infos.

The manual say the first thing to do is the
-Idler air volume learning (the procedure is posted here somewhere)
-Check intake system
-Check fuel injection system

It happened on my vacation randomly. I started it one morning and it came on. I was far from any dealer so I bought a simple reader saw the code read up on it to see if my truck was in any danger. I cleared it and checked everything and figured if it came back on by the time I returned back home I would take it to my dealer. I have driven 1500 miles since then 1400 from my trip and it has not come back on. So now I am not sure if I should not tell my dealer when I take it in for service (recalls, inspection) or just wait and see if it comes back on and take it in then. The funny thing is since then it seems that my truck has finally woken up and is peppy. I now have 18000 on her.

I would check your air filter, and see if it's not completely dirty.....

It is a bully dog filter with only 10000 on it and I made sure it was clear and tight. Might it have something to do with with the fuel pump recall?

I will take it that it's oiled?
10,000 = about 6+ months of driving.....
I would think it's time for a cleaning.
It also might be over oiled.

The air filter is perfect; I am a mechanic and very anal about a clean well maintained truck. This is random anomaly and was trying to decide if to let it go or tell my dealer.

I didn't read the details in that TSB I posted. Did you read the cause and cure details in it?
