Angry trailer running lights dont work

another bad day at the dealer the first trip i went in for a oil change and the sevice tech backed in to a pole. i have posted this before but never repiled on the out come. the dealer would not replace the bumper because they said it did not need it they were just going to replace one bracket on the passanger side and i allready had a small dent in the driver side of the rear bumper. well they fixed the bracket and i could not tell anything happened soo i was satified, but i think the bumper should have been replaced. well this past weekend i was going to my deer lease to do some mowing and other clean up work so i hooked up a small utility trailer and everthing work but the running lights i thought it was my adapter plug so i got a test light and the factory plug was not getting power to the prong on the plug the is a diagram on the factory plug. while i was looking at the wiring harness under the truck i notice a broken weld on the bumper by the driver side bracket. went to dealer today and they said that they would put a new bumper on and fix the wiring problem. i waited for 5 hours they finally told me that they could not fix it today and i could come back thursday. i talked to service tech and he was about to put my new bumper on but he said that it might be a few days before they could fix the wire harness. so five hours later i left my titan and drove home in a rental truck. the dealer didnt seem concernd about he problem or the wait time. i think i going to find a new dealer. dont like the way ive been treated. well just thought i would sare that, a nd they order a face for the radio they said this was the fix i dont belive them but i try it this is the third one still waiting for my CDs back frome the first one!

I agree with you, trying a different dealer would be in your best interest. And don't forget to check your truck carefully before taking delivery of it.

If your trailer running lights aren't working, you need the 2 relays behind the battery that control them. For some cheapo reason they leave this off unless you have the proper trim line. My truck didn't have them, I had to get them, now all the lights work.

well have the big tow package but i have not looked for relays but i got my truck back today with a new bumper and the tralier light problem fixed they said it was a fuse and showed me were it was it under the hood in the fuse box behind the battery. they told me to check the wiring on my trailer it might have caused the fuse to blow but i tow it with a dodge truck too with no problems blowing fuses. the fuse that blew was only a 10 but they did not recommed changing to a larger one thanks for the info i will check it out tommor if not raning

Fuse box under the hood on passenger side. 10a fuse.
