Noise from the Steering Column

The car has been at the dealer since wednesday . They have 3 engineers coming in on tuesday to look at it. The problem as you are turning the steering wheel left and are press the gas you heard a noise like something is rubbering against each other for about 1/2 sec . Now they found another truck on the lot doing the same thing. So far the dealership and Nissan Factory support have no idea why it is happen and done everything the could. They have been swapping parts out trying to fix it. Hopefully the engineers fly in the will find out the problem. They wanted me to take in home for the weekend but when I got there the change their mind and did not want me to drive of the lot. I have bearly had it a month with 2400 miles on it.

They gave a Maxima SL demo to drive around and I don't like it as much as the Titan LE 4WD

I have a similar problem which I didn't pay much attention to as yet. mine sounds like ball joint fitting popping in and out. Seems to come and goes as you drive and hit bumps.

Very sorry to hear about your problem. A positive thing is at least they are not telling you that is a normal condition. Guys when engineers have to fly in to look at a vehicle that tells us a lot about how much the dealerships know about this vehicle. When you have a schematic and breakdown of the design of a component and no one knows how to fix it and engineers need to come down to look at it I am at a loss to what to say. I did not purchase any extended warranty and I am beginning to wonder if after my 3yr 36K is up will anyone be able to fix the Titan.
