Whistling Noise from Driver Side Mirror

Has anyone noticed that the front driver side mirror makes a whistling noise when driving above 45 mph. I started hearing it the other day and was trying to figure out what it was. If you fold in the mirror, the whistling goes away. Strange huh.

I tried searching on whistling today because I too thought I heard the same thing. I still have to do some more investigating because I thought it might be the bug deflector I put on but I have had that on for two weeks now and have not heard anything. The whisting started the first time I drove it after I washed my truck this weekend. Not sure if I tweaked the mirror a bit when washing it to make the perfect air flow to start a whistle. I'll try to keep you posted.

I've got the same problem. It's the wind going in behind the glass. While you're driving if you move your hand/finger around the opening between the glass and the mirror housing, you will eventually find the spot that's whistling. I got used to it after a couple of days of driving with the window down.

Ahhh, I see you guys also have this issue. I thought my poor Armada was special!! lol

Anyway I was wondering if the dealer was able to resolve the whistling mirror problem? Mine still does it and only stops when I fold in the mirror. Any advice on what to say to the dealer or if they are able to resolve this issue?

You sure you didn't install a whistle tip in there?
