strange humming from front end

So the other day my titan started to make a humming noise like the indicators on brake pads make when they are worn. Checked the brake pads and they look pretty good still, definitely not the indicator on the making the noise. I have read a lot about the wheel bearings making a similar noise but i cant be too sure because of how it happens. Under normal driving it makes the noise intermittently, every time i brake though the noise gets constant ( very similar to brake indicator ). If anyone has any pointers that would be great.
