well, after 2 whopping months of titan ownership, my in dash 6 disc changer stopped working this week so I took it down to the service dept at my dealer. Besides the really poor attitude I was greeted with, (another story all together) the bad news is they have to send my head unit away and I get a refurbished one from the "factory"in return. In 8 weeks they say I can expect to get my cd's mailed back to me, probably all scratched from the removal.
I'm getting an aftermarket hu anyways, but I still want a working deck for when I sell the truck down the road.
Don't sweat it..I had the same thing happen with my SVT Focus..it took awhile to get the cd's back but they came back just fine..keep them on their toes though..keep calling and asking when you're going to get them..squeaky wheel get the grease! Good luck!
This wouldn't sit well with me, from reading all the posts about the radio and Nissan swapping them out for folks, I would expect the same for the cd changer. Eight weeks is too long when you're talking about a new and somewhat expensive vehicle. Did you call 800 NISSAN? I've been met with poor attitudes and arrogance by dealers, and I don't stand for it.

i put my first cd in my cd player and it ate it. still waiting for the cd and this has been over a month. they replaced it with a new one not a rebuilt one.

I thought almost everyone used "burned" cd's in their car or truck these days. Every cd in my Titan is burned, that way I don't have to worry about my cd's getting lost, stolen, scratched, or sat on. Also if a friend that is riding with me likes something I'm playing I can just give him the burned cd. Most often, people reciprocate and give you some of their cd's in return. It sure is easier handling burned cd's and not having to fret over and go through all of the hassle of pampering them.

Plus when you burn them, you get the track title on the Cd player, kinda cool.
not always. what software program are you using to burn cds. ive used wmp and musicmatch plus and have not been able to get text yet. it has been a while since i tried so i stopped trying, lol. maybe i should try again.
I got sick of hassling with CDs (they were getting scratched, taken home by friends, lost, etc.) and ripped them to an mp3 player. I really don't notice much quality difference, except of course you have to turn up the volume because of the level of the AUX jack.

Check the ID3 tags on your songs and make sure they are there. It is my guess it is pulling that information from that and not the actual file name itself.
Download Winamp and you can check your id3 tags, there are other programs out there, but I love Winamp and have been using it for about 10 years or so.
