Caution...Possible hidden rust!

Just noted some rust on my rear King cab doors on both sides. The area of concern is the interface between the rear door latch and the rear door lower lock striker. (Ref. service manual "BL-133" items 5 and 3).

I am to suspect that at some point prior to door alignment the door had sag causing 0.010 to 0.020" gouges near the lower rear door latch.

Check this area out on your truck, you may have the same issue. Should be easily repairable as long as you can manage the work upside down...
