Well, my first unfun experience with the Service Department has just started. Scheduled my 7500 mile service last Friday and noted to the Service Writer that there was a TSB out on Brake Judder (thanks to this website), which he said he would have to research.
I decided to solve his "research" and printed off a copy and took it in with me this morning. Just got my truck back, brought the receipt home and started looking and found that all it notes they did was turn the rotors. Yet the TSB says specifically that they must follow the entire procedure, which includes replacing the brake pads and burnishing them.
So this begs the question of why did I take the time to provide them the document if they aren't going to follow it? Now I have called the head man still at the dealer and faxed him a copy of the TSB. He said he will take it up with the Service Manager tomorrow.
This is beyond frustrating!!! More to follow as this develops.........

Did your wheel pull to either side when you braked because of this problem. And to solve the problem, all you did was take the print out in and have them fix it under warrenty correct? Poor titan, i can't wait till all my problems are solved.
I'm taking my Titan in for service tomorrow to address the brake judder and radio FM problem. I have ~1200 miles on the truck and experienced the brake judder about 3 times over the last couple of weeks when braking for red lights downhill at highway speeds (55 mph zone) while going straight. It has been a different feel than the ABS pulsing and the tail end of the truck (unloaded) acted like it wanted to fishtail during one of the episodes. It has happened while braking steadily, not hard or emergency braking. The judder feels like it is coming from the front wheels only. There has been no strong brake odors after this happened. My brake feel has been steadily decreasing with the pedal becoming more mushy. I hope they aren't going to tell me they can't duplicate it so they won't work on it. The service guy did tell me on the phone that they know there is a problem with the brakes on some Titans.

As planned. Nissan worked on the brakes today and at 1,304 miles the front rotors were starting to warp. They did not replace the rotors but did resurface them. Pads were also replaced. As I understood it, the service rep was telling me that there is a design flaw that can cause the calipers to overheat which result in a misalignment of the pads against the rotor and over time warps the rotor. This flaw is especially prone to any type of braking that causes extra heat build up (i.e., hard braking, emergency stops, downhill braking). Although there is a TSB out, they were told by Nissan that engineers are still working on the brakes to find a better fix. They told me to bring it in again if the brake judder returns or the pedal becomes mushy again (like I needed to be told that).

Nissan is trying to compete in the American Truck Market. They are just duplicating the service the big 3 give. If it's any comfort Acura service was/is the same way.

I followed juma's lead and ordered the speed bleeders so I can bleed the brakes without assistance. I am thinking that hey, if they aren't filling the differentials, they might not be bleeding the brakes either.
