Factory running boards chipping?

Anyone else notice chipping on the factory running boards? Was washing the truck tonight and I noticed it. Look for white spots on the charcoal color and you'll see them (if you have them)

Noticed that a few months ago too. The odd thing is the chipping does not appear to be concentrated in areas where road debris could have been kicked up. Would be interested to know if this is happening to anyone else.

Exactly. Mine is on the top rear portion of the running boards. I do plan to bring it to the attention of the dealer. I hope Nissan is aware of the problem so I don't have to get new ones every year (under warrenty of course).

Yup, I have the chipping too! My seems to be concentrated on the drivers side rear. I noticed this about two months ago and just attributed it to road debris.

I'm guessing most do have it. I just noticed it wouldn't come off with the power washer, then felt it and sure enough, it's chipping paint. That just won't do. Can you say free running boards? LOL!
