I am currently on a long trip with the Titan (FL to DC and RI). No problems with anything except the low pressure light for the tires. I have a SE CC 4x4. It comes on after about 30 min out on the highway. When the truck is shut off and restarted it is not on. It does not make any warning sound like it's supposed to. It did this back in March when the tire pressure was verified as low in one of the tires. Audible warning and light.
During the trip I just get the light after about 30 min on the highway. Double and triple checked the pressure at 2 different gas stations, pressure is ok, at 40 psi which is inbetween the manual (35 psi) and what the tire says on the side (44 psi). When driving around my parents town I don't get the light at all. Someone on the site suggested going to a dealer but I don't think it's critical (or is it). I will check the pressure at gas fill up times and keep everything up to snuff.
It's not a bad idea to blow off this light is it? It's not like it's a SES or AT or other light. It will get looked at when I get home but it's not critical to have it looked at right now is it? I don't think so myself, but I figured I ask the experts here. I thought I had read something about faulty sensors being replaced by some people here.

IMO, I would do just what you've been doing, check it and go on. Hey I don't know about you, but I've never had a light for my tire pressure in all the vehicles I've owned. We got by didn't we?
You'll be fine, inspect the tire from time to time for peace of mind, but enjoy your trip! It's likely a bad sensor.
Thanks man. Leaving for RI this morning. Man has it cooled off here in DC. Feels like fall to me (being from FL). I think I'll put on a sweatshirt (big grin).
Did you get some new rim's at all? I got some new one's and didn't get the valve stems put back on from my old rim's and I have the same problem, after about an hour of driving the light would come on. I'm not too worried about it though. Never had em before so why worry about it now, you know?
That was happening to mine when I first got it... And when I would check the tire pressure on the screen it only showed 3 tire measurements (and keep in mind, this is when the truck had the one wrong wheel on it), once they corrected the wheel problem I haven't seen it since.

I still have the factory 5 spoke rims, no after market rims. Have not rotated tires or anything else. The only thing I did to the tires was add alittle pressure the day before I left. I also have the black plastic valve stem caps on the rims because my Fronty had it's valve caps stolen more than once. So I put the ugly black ones on and have the factory caps in the glove box. I don't think that would be a problem, they have been on for awhile. Bought a tire pressure gauge before leaving DC for RI, and the tires were ok on pressure. So probably just faulty sensors. I can deal with these kind of problems, no biggie. Thanks for the input guys. Good to have Titan brothers out there.

Actually that metal valve stem cap acts as the antenna for the sensor to transmit to whatever black box is on the truck that reads the tire pressure. Replace them for a day and you will see. I read this on SchraderElectronics web site, they are the parts vendor for that system.
Ya think so? I sure will try it. But why does it not go off around town? Only on the highway, at highway speeds, and only after almost exactly 30 min.?

How do you check tire pressure on the screen? I'm too lazy to read the owner's manual.
I was coming back from Charlottesville yesterday, when I noticed my low air pressure light came on, I stopped and checked the tires. All the air pressurse were fine (this was during highway driving). Looks like faulty sensor reading.
