39 days! i would be ticked, you should at least not have to make one monthly payment, that's the least they could do.

Yeah, and throw in some bed accessories or something. What exactly was the problem with your T-case?

No one can tell me the problem.
Symptoms,
-4Lo light blinking
-ATP light flashing in "P"
-Transfer case randomly trying to shift into 4Lo.At all speeds, including highway-bad grinding.
-would not shift between "D" +"R" without major grinding
-Once locked into 4high or 4Lo things shifted fine, but getting one or the other was an adventure.

Attempted solutions
-Replace 4wheel selector switch in dash
-Replace two switches in transfer case (from a sticky near the top of the problems section)
-Now waiting on a transfer case to come from Japan.Minimum two week wait.

So that's where the parts warehouse is in Japan. O.K. they build it in the USA and stock parts in Japan now I understand things better. Sorry to hear that. Take Care and hold them to the "compensation" and keep us posted.

When you put it that way it does sound funny.

40 days and apparently they won't get back to me till tommorrow.
When they make me an offer I'll run it by you guys to see what you think.

Nissan called today and promised to compensate me in some way,as soon as my truck was fixed.Maybe I'll be easier to deal with once I am happily behind the wheel again?
I'll try my best to remain strong. When prompted to hint at what Nissan was offering she had no way of knowing what that would be.

I don't think they stock much of anything. I think they are running Just-In-Time.

The transmission and transfer case are the only major components built in Japan.

Today is day 57(I think, I added the days up yesterday.June 17-Aug 11/04)

Hopefully this is the only faulty T-case in the system.

Nissan say's I get no rental because I didn't purchase extended warranty.

I have gotten upset a couple of times but I try to keep my Irish in check when I deal with people on the phone. (I work for an oil company, with these outrageous prices I am sometimes public enemy #1.)I must admit my patience is wearing thin.
