Hi Everyone!
This is my 1st post....glad to be part of such a lively group of people! After getting my car from being in 2 days of service, I thought I would share my problem/resolution with all of you.
I got my 2004 CC 4x2 LE 3 weeks ago w/5 miles on it. About a week after buying it, I starting noticing an EXTREMELY obnixious ticking coming from the rear passenger side of the cab. It truly sounded like it was coming from the inside of the truck. It bothered me so much that I was on my way to the dealer to tell them about it. While driving to the dealer, I turned around to try to isolate the problem (tough to do while driving). When I turned back, there was a cop with a radar gun pointed at me! CRAP! I got a ticket. Oh well.
Back to the problem, after having my entire back seat ripped out of the truck, the problem was actually UNDER the truck. I am not sure of the exact technical name of the part, but it was the bolt that attached the body to the frame. It turns out that it wasn't seated correctly (not loose, but not sitting right). After having a Nissan engineer look at it, they finally found the problem. I am sharing this with all of you so you can bring this to your service advisor's attention if you develop this problem.
Yes, my RF radio sounds like $hit too! I can't believe that they let this radio in the truck and considered it good. Me thinks that the Japanes inspectors only like to listen to the crisp sounds of AM radio
The other problem I had is that the drivers headrest had a slit in it. The salesman actually brought a new one to my work. Overall, my dealer has been very good (Action Nissan, Nashville, TN) , but I have dealt with crap dealers to (Can we say GM vehicles?? )
One question, how do you know the exact date the truck was made? I know the month and year, but not the day.
Thanks again!
