Rear Diff 75W90 Really ??

I got rid of my 94 Jeep GC before buying my Titan. The GC had a Dana 35c rear with limited slip AND I had the tow package (Lower final gear, trans cooler and hitch). I think the tow rating was something like 6500#

The Dana 35C held about 2 quarts also it wasn't very big - maybe a bit smaller than our Dana 44's.

INTERESTING POINT - The owners manual SPECIFICALLY called for ONLY SAE 75-140 SYNTHETIC gear oil - NOT 75-90 , NOT DINO/Mineral.

I dumped my factory fill at 500 miles and replaced with M1 75/90. My trailer towing needs don't exceed 1500#. But I have to tell ya, for me , if I was towing a 8000# trailer in the summer heat I would dump the 75/90 mineral based stuff favor of 75 ~ 80/140 synthetic real quick - owners manual be damned!
