Engine Light on & Transmission went Bad (HELP)

I was getting out a drive way of my local Jack in the Box & my Titan stalled on me. I just bought mine 4 weeks ago & only has 1556 miles on it. So I took it to the dealer & I busted everyone's behind about my truck. They called me today & said that the solenoid on the transmission was bad. They will also need to keep the truck for a few days & they will give me a car to use for the meantime. They also identified that they are waiting for the Nissan headquaters to tell them how to fix it since its a new technology or something. This board has been helpful in identifying trends about the Titan so I am wondering did anybody had similar experiences.

I have had prior bad experiences at Jack in the Box. My little cousin used to work there and he had some scary stories.

I've heard horror stories about Jack in the Box, but even more so for Whataburger (familar to those who live in Texas - not sure where else they are as well). I eat there very seldomly if at all.

Sounds familiar. That happened to me. My tranny had to be replaced. I was without my truck for 1 week. But yours could also be dirt in your solenoid. I belive theres a TSB on that. My truck did not stall just flashed the MIL and ATP lights.

I went to Burger King, but the crowns are all too small (sigh) ...and thankfully, we don't have Yak-in-the-Box. Hope that they figure out this new technology soon...Good Luck!

Whataburger was great! They've all closed down here in FL. I wish we still had one. We don't even have any of the Big Boy restaurants any more either, I really loved those!

In the town I live in now, there is no longer a Jack in the Box after some kids from other cities died from food poisoning there.

http://lubbockonline.com/news/100496/jackin.htm

"...January 1993 outbreak that sickened several hundred people and killed three children from Washington state. "

Recently my girlfriend wanted to go to Dairy Queen to get some ice cream. My girlfriend also got a chicken sandwich which had a lot of fat on it. I got a double bacon cheeseburger and the meat was terrible. It was dry and chewy. Tasted like an old shoe. I asked for a replacement and it was the same. The manager told me they were required to 'fully cook' their hamburgers now. Uh.... Suffice to say, I won't be going back there anytime soon. My girlfriend mirrors my sentiment.

I'll still eat at Whatburger, just won't go out of my way to do it I'll just stick with McDonalds and Sonic. There are several local burger joints that make the big chains look like nothin....now those are good burgers!

I havn't heard problems with this on the Titan yet, but the 2000-2003 Ford 150's have had this problem for a while. Perhaps going to one of there boards will give you some more information.
