Crank Sensor Po335 Problem-

Truck keeps throwing the po335 Code, ive replaced my crank sensor, checked my fly wheel and flex plate and its looks perfect, and have checked the wiring. Does any one else have any ideas to what this could be ? Also when you are at WOT the rpms seem to jump around yet the truck seems to pull smooth all the way through a shift. Any help or info will be apreciated!

Re: Crank Sensor Po335 Problem-

Make sure you get the correct part. There was a batch of camshaft sensor that got mis-labeled as crankshaft sensor.

This TSB has more info.

Re: Crank Sensor Po335 Problem-

If the sensor is good, some other cause

P0335 NISSAN - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit

Possible causes
- Faulty crankshaft position sensor
- Crankshaft position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Crankshaft position sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Signal plate may be damage
- Starter motor may be faulty
- Starting system circuit
- Dead or weak battery

Re: Crank Sensor Po335 Problem-

New battery and all wires look perfect all the way up to the ECM. Starter motor starts perfect and doesnt show any abnormal on the flywheel. I saw another guy on here had the EXACT some problem but never had an answer to what caused it or if it was fixed besides that he said everyone said the VKPRO fixed the p0335 code? Sooo idk im just tired of looking at the SES and SLIP light. Appreciate the help n knowledge tho.

Found a few threads relating to this, unfortunately no one thread has a "magic" answer.
Slip light and Crank Shaft Pos Sensor Problem
Need help kinda quick with P0335! Have questions!

This one was solved with a new aftermarket sensor (but you got a new sensor so might not be your problems at all)
Read the friendly TSB's NISSAN!! P0335 OBDII code.

Re: Crank Sensor Po335 Problem-

The second one was the one I had read before and is identical to my issues. Guess its time to tear it apart and check all the wiring again. Thanks

Re: Crank Sensor Po335 Problem-

If there is a crank POS sensor in the cam sensor position you will get EXACTLY what condition you have. NISSAN corp knows it, dealers don't and cannot read, just replace parts....

I would suggest a known good cam sensor and a known good crank sensor. If you set them side by side you are tested to know the difference.

Re: Crank Sensor Po335 Problem-

Yeah I'm on my second motor and the first thing I had to do with the new/usee motor was change out the cam Sensor with the one off the old motor and when I got to the crank sensor I realized they look the same just diffrent part # does that also work vice versa if there is a cam sensor in the crank sensor position? Cause it wouldnt be the first time the dumba** over the counter said he knew what I wanted n gave me the wrong part.

Yes check your camshaft sensor to make sure it's actually a camshaft sensor. Might be a crankshaft sensor in there.lol
