seats comming apart

I just bought an 04 CC with the front bench seats and a fold down arm rest. I have a spot on the arm rest where the cloth is comming apart from the plastic at the top. This is on the drivers side. On the passengers side of that same flip down console, the pleather is comming apart from the plastic on the underside of the top. My dealer said that they would just replace the entire console... I was just woundering if it was a more widespread problem.
