Angry Rust

I have some rust on the edge of my bed, by the tailgate. The tail gate liner is rubbing to the paint and stripping it, causing some rust on the edge. Brought it to the dealership and they said they have to get Nissan's approval on painting the bed and replacing the liner. After 2 months no call from them, called Nissan and they told me somebody will call me within 24 hours to schedule an inspection to the vehicle, nobody called and it's been 3 days now. Called them and they said there's a lot people ahead of me. Just wondering what you guys would do at this point? I'm irritated right now, and just trying to be patient.

Patiently stick to your guns and insist it be fixed. I had a problem like that with my old Tundra - dealer got it fixed.

So let me get this straight the PLASTIC liner that is fitted under the rail and is bolted to the inside of the tail gate may move a little bit causing the paint to be worn down... Thats nuts I've never heard of that.I guess all of the other trucks in the last 20 years that people have installed plastic liners in that they all have had the same problem should go back to the designer for a flaw in engineering and get a hand out maybe they could fix some rock chips for free too...
