Question Hangs loose and might be knocking externally...

I'm having mine checked on tuesday as I sometimes have the tick at idle and some other issues. I looked and mine hangs on a rubber mount but has a little metal off/set rod with a rubber end behind it. This can easily be creating the tick or knock sound also..from the outside of the unit. Does the new valve and mount eliminate the loose hanging valve like I have?????? Thanks Tom

I think that is the problem with mine...

I noticed my vibration sound occurs when I am on slighlty bumpy roads. The little offset rod, when I move it, makes the same type of sound and the unit moves pretty freely to allow this to happen. I looked over the service bulletin that this thread is referring to and the components that it calls to replace does not include this.

Tom - yes, please let us know what the results are. I was going to have them look at mine when my fuel pump/sender comes in....my gas guage has never worked and the part has been on back order for 4 weeks now. Out of curiosity, what build is your truck? Mine is Oct 04.
