More like a tapping, or single tick, on rough road. Had the interior trim off to run my XM antenna to the rear. Found a screw lying loose under the right rear step plate(have no idea where the screw should go). Didn't find anything else, except the seatbelt tensiouner makes a rattle if tapped. Put things back together. Rattle still there, no change.
So, I've seen the posts regarding the body to frame mount in the right rear. I took out the bolt in the back right corner. There was a pop when I loosened it, like some stress or pre-tension in the mounting. I lubed the big washer, where it contacts the bushing, and the bolt. Checked 3 other mounting bolts. None of them had the pre-tension pop. Also, the washer on the other 3 weren’t warn near as much. Lubed and re-locktited all 4. That was it, rattle is gone!!!
Much thanks to the person who found this fix. Based on the sound I was hearing, I would have never thought to lube the body mount bolts. I was also surprised this is still an issue with the 05's. But, hey it's fixed. I’m Happy.
As a side note. In addition to the extra screw, I also have missing fasteners to the back carpet, and a missing screw on the inner fender (right rear). Undercoating on the right side isn’t so even either. I think the right side line workers need a vacation, or at least start pumping some oxygen through their ventilation system
Are you talking about the cab mounting bolts or the Bed?
Thanks for the heads up, I have not noticed a rattle on my 05 yet but it's only got 400mi on it so far, I'll check ALL the bolts anyway.
I hate to say this, because I own one, but Nissan's quality sucks. There's no reason these same problems should be lingering for the '05's.

I have a rattle that seems to be emanating from my front passenger dash speaker. I'm due for an oil change so I'll have them look at it when I take it in.

Cab mounting. I pulled/lubed 3 on the passenger side, and the back left corner, but from the feel/sound I think the Right Rear is the only one that needed the stress releif.
Like I said before, I would have never thought to look there if it wasn't for reading about it on this forum. It would have driven me nuts over time, not because it was that loud or annoying. It wasn't. It's because I wouldn't have found it
I had a rattle comming from the radio area. I pulled the panel off and found the 2 big wiring harness that left the panel went into the dash with no support. I put a couple of cable ties on them and shabang, no rattle.

John, thanks. I have a LE/CC with I think the same rattle. Since I'm challenged, would you please be more discriptive on exactly where the right rear bolt is located.

I like your enthusiasm and understand the frustration but I think a rattle is probably about last on the list given the brake issue and other operative issues that have arisen with any vehicle not just our Titans. I think as the other things get worked out they will get to knocking out all of the rattles, clanks, clunks, tinks, thunks, ticks and knocks...

thanks Mark
I concur with this poster.
Also, what color Loctite did you use?

Lay on the ground and slide under your truck, basically under the jack. There will be a bracket with one large bolt and 2 smaller bolts next to it. The large one is the culprit and it is 17mm. It must be loosened & retightened to make the noise go away. You will need 1/2" drive ratchet and maybe a cheaterpipe.
I've had my '05 XE for 4 days and I think I may have the same problem. How is this prevalent with so many of these? Is it a manufacturing robot calibration problem?
after i said i didn't have this rattle...I now do...i guess i should've knocked on wood tomorrow after work im gonna crawl under there and check things out...hopefully ill get it loosened and retighten it...is it hard to loosen this sucka?
