ignition won't turn

Yep that simple - as of this morning, none of my 3 keys would turn the ignition at all - When this has happened on other cars & trucks I've had, it was usually the steering wheel lock - No amount of jiggling the steering wheel helped at all. Of course I can't even get the thiong out of park - another fine safety feature!

Any ideas before I have this towed?

Talking

If you are not parked against a curb and the steering wheel isn't jammed then a tow is probably in your near future. Make sure you are not trying your Wife's Titan keys before you call a tow truck. oh and... I hope you get your thong out of park too!! he he

In cases like this, there is a manual method to get out of park. On vehicles with the center shifter, there is a small round disk that pops off just to the upper left of the column. If you open that up and put your key in the slot and turn it, the shifter will release and allow you to shift it to neutral.

I am sorry, but I don't know how this works on models with the shifter on the steering wheel column.

And I agree that it sounds as if you might have some ice in the ignition. Try heating up the key while it is in the ignition and see if that breaks the ice free.

I've had the same thing happen a couple of times to me. I played with the steering wheel and shifter to get it to work once, it took a few minutes of cussing in the 100 degree weather before it finally freed. The other time in my father-in-laws steep driveway no amount of playing with the shifter steering wheel worked. I then got out and rocked it a little front and back and that worked.

Thanks to all who responded - It was ice in the ignition - Warmed up enough for the key to work just as the tow truck driver got here!

my wife has had trouble twice with the key not turning...and both times it was not parked against a curb or have the wheels turned...I had to try my key a couple times while turning the wheel to get it to work.
