Great service at Dealer

Seeing that you see a lot of the problems with dealers posted (good thing to know which dealers to avoid) thought I would post the great experience I had with mine. I have a little over 10,000 miles on my Titan and took it into the dealer (Perry Nissan - Columbia, MO) for the first time. Not having any major problems, just had a fog light out and the shifter trim was broke. I live about 60 miles from there so it isn't always easy know when I will be there. Called about 11:30am to see if they could possibly get me in that day, they worked me in and had the problems fixed and truck hand washed in about 1 1/2 hours time. Gave me just about the right amount time to look over a Murano for my better half. Service manager asked about known problems (brakes ect.) to see if I was having any of them so they could be fixed while I was there. So anyone live near Columbia or traveling through, Perry Nissan is a good dealership to use.

That's good to hear dude, Same here in La. Leblanc Nissan gets my vote. I wasn't the best negotiator, but the service dept. goes out of thier way. It's funny though, when something GOOD is posted, it rarley gets response. I wish the Drama on this board would take a backseat, because it's a nice, user freindly site.

I don't remember if you ever saw my other post responding to your positive comments about Leblanc Nissan in Gonzales (Baton Rouge). I purchased my Titan there at the end of Sept. 04 (04 KC SE). I agree they're not the greatest at negotiating but I still think I got a fair deal. Anyway, the only service I have been back for was an oil change. I hate it when you make an appointment and then still have to wait over an hour for a freaking oil change when they're not even that busy. I finally got up and started roaming around looking at my truck from outside and they finished up quickly. Anyway, last time I went to All Star over on Florida Blvd. They were extremely friendly and quick, plus it was cheaper. My only problem is that they use Valvoline 10w30 vs. the Mobil 10w30 used by Leblanc. I would prefer the Mobil as I have noticed a little more valvetrain noise when cold with the Valvoline. I will probably go back and give Leblanc another try. Maybe when they notice I went elsewhere this past time, they will try a little harder. I just hate driving about 15 - 20 miles out htere when there are 2 others within about 10 minutes of where I live (All Star and Royal). Anyway, what kind of service have you had performed at Leblanc? I still hate taking my vehicle to have the oil changed, I've always done it myself on previous vehicles. I just like the fact that I have a printed invoice from a Nissan dealer showing that they changed my oil as proof. Makes me feel better warranty-wise.

Keep in mind that you can goto a dealer (or even Jiffy Lube for that matter) and if you have your own oil, they will put that in for you and should give you a slight discount on the charge they have for the service. They can't tell you that you MUST use the oil that they put in your vehicle.

Anyway though, most dealers I think will treat their customers pretty damn well, unfortunately its the few instances that someone feels they have been wronged, makes it out that the dealers are nothing but morons (yeah there are their fair share of moronic dealers out there). I have had nothing but good luck with my dealership, Maxwell Town North in Austin. Salesman treated me great and the service advisor treats me as if we've known each other for years, not like I don't know anything about anything, but respects my comments and suggestions. That's how a dealership should be.
