Hi guys, i'm new here(as you can tell) and I'm very interested in buying a titan. I have been flirting with the idea for awhile but the more research I do, the more I don't want one. I fell in love with the truck the first time I drove it but it seems that the majority of you are having more trouble than fun. I know that some issues have to do with weather so I'll give you my bio:
I live in S. FL and don't plan on towing anything too big (if I even tow anything)
I will prolly just trailer my 4 wheeler and dirtbikes.
I don't plan on goin muddin too often or too hard so I don't even plan on changin the rims or tires or even getting the 4x4 option.
I was lookin really hard at the 2005 4x2 CC SE.
This is definitley a truck that I want to buy for all the convenience(as well as rugged good looks and raw power) that a truck has to offer but I don't want to be stuck with something that I drive more to the dealer than I do to my house.
I realize that opinions are going to be biased but what the hell. Is this a truck that I should still be lookin at or should I move on to lookin at the other 4 full size trucks that are available?
BTW, I know that this isn't somehting that has to do with an actual titan so if this is considered the wrong forum, could moderators please move to the appropriate one. THanx

That is my truck and it does all I want. I bought the big tow but if all you are pulling is light trailers, go without it and install a hitch later if needed. The lower rear end gears will give you a little better gas mileage but will still outrun anything that is not turbocharged.

I can tell you that the Titan does have its share of problems. But at the end of the day I feel like it is still the best full size half ton on the market! If you do all your home work you will find out that all of the other brands have there trouble as well. I have had alot of trouble with this truck and I could have turned it back in as a lemon I didnt, Nissan worked with me and my dealership and got the truck fixed. I was always a Ford guy and the f-150 dosent hold a candle to the Titan. I also drive a Chevy Silverado at work what a pos, and the Dodge well enough said there. The Toyota is a nice truck but lacks the raw power and great looks of the Titan in my opinon. I did not make this purchase in haste I did my home work and if you do to I think you will buy the Titan. It is the best full size half ton truck on the market right now! Good luck and I hope you join the rest of us Titan owners. The smile on your face and the look on the other guys face when you pass them is priceless.
I was in your shoes a month ago. We did all the research, drove and drove different trucks, and I kept reading TT and CTposts. I believe most people are happy with the Titan, but there will always be folks that have a problem or find fault. Nissan seems to be working to correct issues as they come up, but the dealer issues you get with any brand. We stayed with the Titan because we felt it was the best truck to meet out needs, and because we felt we got the best value for our money with this truck. We are very happy we did.
Good luck,
John

I'm a Ford guy, but felt when I bought this truck, that I was getting more truck for my money then any other brand, and still think this.
I'ts true the 03-early 05 trucks are having frt brake warp issues, but most of those with problems are being taken care of thru the dealers, and as said before, all the other brands are have some problems on some trucks.
I still recomend this truck...

I appreciate all the help. I am going to the dealership to see what can be done about getting me in the truck for the best price. Lets hope I can get the price low enough to drive it home. wish me luck guys

I have had my Titan for over a year now and maybe I am one of the lucky ones, but I have had none of the issues that others are talking about. I don't have any rattles, have a stereo that does not fade and haven't had to take it to the dealer for anything other that the Brake Judder recall and standard maintenance. I have over 24K miles on mine and they are hard driven miles.
Don't think because all you see here are people complaining about their problems that every Titan out there has issues. It is rare that someone will come along and post that they have no problems just for the sake of posting. Usually theses forums are for those that have problems and want to know what to do to get them fixed or to have someone to tell them that it is normal or to go to the dealer and get it fixed.
If you look at all the other vehicle forums you will probably see the same thing. Mostly people talkng about problems and solutions. Rarely will you see the opposite.
If you really want the Titan, I highly recommend it. It is really a fine truck and my friends always want to ride in it whenever we go somewhere. That says a lot when they own trucks from the other 4 manufacturers.

I find this last statement hard to believe, Roy....
I did the same thing as you, and others have mentioned. I agonized over buying it to the point it was torture. But then, I bought it and man is it an AWESOME TRUCK!!!
So, fly, hop, crawl, hitch-hike, who cares, just get to the dealer and buy one!!!
Do your homework on price. And if the first dealer won't give you right price, go to the next!!
You aren't settling for just any truck, so don't just settle for any "deal"!
Good luck, now get out there and get that TITAN!!!

Welcome me home guys!!!! I purchased a 2005 blizzard whit 4x2 CC SE. This thing is sick. I bought it when I went to the dealer on 02/25 and woulda posted the news earlier but I've been too busy drivin and staring at this thing.
I still can't believe that I own this truck and I couldn't be any happier than I am.
This truck is so beautiful I almost lost my life when I was parking it at work. I was walkin and lookin over my shoulder to admire it while I was crossing the street. The truck hypnotized me so much that i didn't even see the Range Rover that almost hit me. The look on the guys face let me know exactly how close I was to getting sent to the hospital. Thank god for ABS and the Nissan Titan
Yea you are just like most of us. Crazy about your new truck. I was so pumped when I bought it and still am. (now I just burnout less )
Anyway don't worry about anything your truck will hold up just fine. Take care of it, try to break it in easy (I know it's tough)
I've had 2 Dodge and always said I would get the fullsize Nissan when / if they ever put one out. I'm happy to be where I'm at, If I bought anything else I'd have remorse!!!!!!!! (Not to mention jealousy)
Enjoy Buddy, We're With Ya'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chief
ps; when crossing the street, stop, look, and listen. You get to drive your honey one more day
