Ground cable fix

I tried the ground cable fix for the tick yesterday and drove for about 10miles without any signs of the tick, on my way to get the ground cable it was very noticable and annoying (as usual). It took me about 20 minutes(very easy), and cost less than 5 bucks, it truly made a difference, even my wife notices a difference, now I can listen to my banks again rather than a tic.

Thanks to Arkman0!!!

Here is the thread incase you have not tried the fix yet.
Fix for tick on passenger side area?

Great ain't it? My dealer tried twice to fix mine, even changed out some exhaust tubes and cats. They were nice about it, but hey, not fixed till the Titan Talk fix was done by myself.

It certainly saved me time and money(gas to the dealer), and a lot of frustration. I enjoy driving my truck again!

I dont know if the 05's are subject as well, but for as cheap and easy as it is to try, it is worth a shot. I know a lot of posts thought that it was the injectors in the 04, or the exhaust manifold. Give it a shot, as the tick can be annoying after a while.

Noticed on my 05 that the ground goes from the battery to the frame and also to the waterpump. Nissan's 05 fix?

ok this is probbably a stupid question but i have to ask .the ticking noise does it kinda sound like a diesel truck at idle and gets less noticeable as the rpms go up i have searched but i cant find any posts that describe the sound .and does it also not make it until the truck warms up the sound i hear is hard to tell where it is coming from but it sounds more like the rear of the engine lt side .my dealer says it is the injectors but i think they are a sack of poo and dont want to bother with it

I'm just curious....is this 'ticking' sound inherent of all Titans or just the '04?

I've got 4300mi on my '05 and don't have the tick, so I'm wondering if its something I should be on the look out, or should I say, 'hear out' for?

I could not hear my tick when idiling, only when I was on the gas could i hear it. Warmed up or not, I normally could hear it, some days were worse than others. It sounded like something was loose on the passenger side, behind the dash board, but closer to the floor. (if that makes sense). It was really noticable when going up a long hill while accelerating slightly.
